Today was not a typical day of eating for me, but it worked out in the end. I have been following the 21 Day Fix meal plan as well as tracking my macros (using the myfitnesspal app it’s easy). So, far it seems as though a day in my 21 day fix diet equals a macro breakdown of about 40/30/30 (carbs/fat/protein). To me these macros are pretty easy to follow, I don’t deprived in anyway. I am actually liking follow the marco lifestyle better then 21 day fix. I just think counting macros allows me to add a variety of food into my diet, whereas the 21 day fix plan is a little more particular. Now, I am just getting started with this whole macro thing, so I will keep you updated as I get more comfortable.
After completing Lower Body Fix Extreme I ate a serving of FlapJacked pancakes. These do not taste like traditional pancakes, but to me that is one of the things that makes them delicious. (1 red, 1 yellow)
After gymnastics I was starving, so I ate a salad with lettuce, salsa chicken, and a teaspoon of salsa verde. I also ate a serving or two of Trader Joe’s tortilla chips. (1 red, 2 green, 2 yellow)
My salad and chips kept my full for hours, but once I was hungry again I ate a bowl of strawberries and grapes. When I am eating fruit I don’t usually crave unhealthy sweets. (1 purple)
Before heading out to the bus I ate a cup of my tomato soup and some rotisserie chicken. (1 green, 1 red)
It was a beautiful day, so after getting Sophia off the bus we played outside for awhile. Once, we came inside everyone was hungry, except Mama. But, I knew I needed something before calling it a night so I ate an 1/8 cup of cashews with a banana and 2 teaspoons of almond butter. I know it was a crazy “meal” but I was full and satisfied. I also hadn’t eaten enough fat for the day. (1 orange, 2 tsp., 2 purples)
I ended my evening with 2 small pieces of Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate bar. I love dark chocolate because it fulfills my sweet tooth with only a few bites.
Tomorrow, is Sophia’s zoo field trip and I am so excited to be with her.
