As always thank you Amanda for hosting.

Thinking-Out-Loud (2)

1. Sophia and Isabella’s birthday party is this Sunday. Oh my!! I can’t wait to see what their cake looks like. I know it will be beautiful.

2. My girlfriends came over on Tuesday and it was so much fun. I love being with them and their sweet daughters. We have to make sure to get together more often.

3. I thought I could handle no sleep and I do for the most part, but I have to tell you my nights of little to no sleep finally caught up with me on Tuesday. I seriously hit a wall and my sweet husband could tell I needed sleep so he got up all night with the babies and if he thought they need a boob he brought them to me. I am so blessed. He is amazing. Thank you hubby I don’t know what I would do without you.

4. Tonight I had my girlfriends baby shower and it was absolutely beautiful. But I must say being around all the baby talk and pregnant girls makes me want another. Oh my!! We are done, but it is still so bittersweet. I love everything about pregnancy and babies.

5. For some reason the twins did not want to stay asleep tonight, so I got to come home to two wide awake babies. It is not easy to walk right in and have to help babies go back to sleep. Oh my!!

6. Nursing McKenzie and McKayla has become quite the battle. I think we are getting ready to wean. They seem ready, I am not so sure I am ready yet, but I guess it’s not up to me. The seriously don’t seem as interested and I know this is a sign, but these are my last two babies and it is so sad. They are officially becoming toddlers.

7. Different schedules is no fun. McKenzie has started to sleep in until 7am, but McKayla still wakes up at 6am so that throws their routine off for the day. So today their naps barely over lapped, not easy. I need McKayla to start sleeping later like her sister. I know it will come.

8. I am so tired so I am going to bed I will talk to all of you later. Sorry no pictures, it has been a long day. Oh I forgot to tell you in the midst of everything our air conditioner stopped working yesterday. Our house is HOT!!

Hope ur having a great weekend! I was wondering what time the twins typically go down for the nite—as well as nap times and lengths? Are you going to wean onto whole milk? Any tips would be appreciated.

    • I am sorry I am just getting back to you now, it has been a crazy week. They typically go down between 6:30-7:30 (depending on when they woke up from their 2nd nap). They take two naps a day about 1.5 hours each or so. Sometimes they will take one shorter nap (45 minutes) and one longer nap (1.5-2 hours). I am trying to figure out if McKenzie is ready to go down to one nap. We will see.

I am planning on weaning them onto whole milk around their first birthday. I will still be in the weaning process but supplement with whole milk at throughout the day until we complete wean. I will write a post soon about our weaning process with some tips. I hope that helps.
