About Me

About Me

Welcome to Fit for Motherhood. My name is Renee, I’m 27 years old. I married Steve, the most wonderful man, in April of 2007. I’m a stay-at-home mom to our two little girls, Sophia, three and Isabella, one.Β I am pregnant with identical twin girls coming summer 2013.

Before becoming a stay-at-mom I was a 6th grade English teacher. I loved teaching and hope to one day get back into the classroom. I also love writing but truly haven’t written much of anything since Sophia was born in 2009.

Our Family Summer 2012

I have a love for health and fitness. I try to workout at least five days a week, it doesn’t always happen. As a busy mom of two working out feels like my only “me time”. Sometimes I feel guilty, but most of the time it just feels good to do something for myself. I workout in many different ways so I know no matter what I can always find time to move at some point throughout the day. I have also figured out a way to eat my favorite foods in a healthier way.

On this blog I will share my fitness routines, mom moments, and of course some yummy recipes. I am by no means a fitness expert, chef, or the perfect mom. But I will share my journey through health, fitness, and motherhood, hopefully, you will share yours with me, as well. We can teach each other somethings along the way.

As we continue on our journey together I will share some things about my life that have shaped me into who I am today.

Thanks for stopping by.Β If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me at fitformotherhood@yahoo.com or leave a question in the comment section.

Hello, I have been following your blog now for about a week! It is great to see another mom so in tune with her kids and treasures every experience with them. I have one son that is 8 and three girls 4, 2, 1. I also just found out that we are expecting another little Blessing this December. I look forward to hearing more about your journey and trying some of your recipes and workouts. I started the prenatal yoga today and loved it. Thank you for blogging, as a stay at home mom it is great to have something positive like this to plug into!!!!

Thank you, so much that really means a lot to hear you say that. I truly try to be the best my I can be, but I will tell you some days are tough. πŸ™‚

Congratulations on having another baby. Five kids I can’t even imagine at this point in our lives. Four sounds tough enough for now, but you never know what the future holds.Prenatal yoga is one of my favorite things to do during pregnancy I think it really helps you feel good and gets your ready for labor.

Thank you for reading my blog, I seriously started this to connect with other moms and hopefully help each other along this adventure of motherhood. We all we can use all support we can get. πŸ™‚ I truly try to live a positive life not only for my girls but myself as well. If you think happy thoughts you will live a happy life!

You look great mama! I follow via bloglovin and love reading your updates! I have a 18 month and an almost two Month old. How and when do you find the time to work out? I feel like we are constantly doing something. Even if it’s making a meal that used to take me five minutes, now takes me twenty! πŸ™‚
Would love to see what an average (ha! As average as can be with kiddos) day looks like for you guys πŸ™‚

Thank you!! Honestly, the best way I get work outs in right now is waking up before the girls do. Once the twins are a little older I plan on going back to the gym and putting the girls in the childcare. I will definitely do a day in the life ASAP!! πŸ™‚

Hi Renee! I found your blog when I was searching “27 weeks pregnant” and I went to google images and saw you and thought “that looks like a girl I went to high school with!” Not sure if you remember me…this is Katie (Dierkes) Murray.
