Today was Sophia’s first day riding the bus and official full day of kindergarten. Wow, this was a tough day. She was so excited; I was not so sure (but I pretended for her of course). I did meet her at school, I know, I know I am lame but I couldn’t help it. Isabella and myself met her at her locker. She was one happy little girl. She loved riding the bus and was ready to start her day. But, I couldn’t wait for her to get home from school. I felt like a little kid counting down the minutes. Once, she finally arrived home life was good. I was so happy to see my big girl. She was quiet and tired. But, she told me she had a great day. She also told me she got sad at lunch but kept herself from crying. She told me she missed me. Awe, my sweet baby!! Tomorrow she has a day off because the other half of the alphabet goes, then she goes again Friday and next week is a normal week.
Tomorrow we have a fun day planned. Mimi is going to come over in the afternoon. She is going to bring some mini cupcakes and then we are going to the pool.
Since, it is Wednesday I am linking up with Jenn for What I Ate Wednesday.
Post Workout – 6:15 am
I really wanted to make a protein shake, but I didn’t want the sound of the magic bullet to wake Sophia up (she insists on sleeping with her door open). So, instead I grabbed a banana and got dressed for the day.
Breakfast – 7:00 am
After getting everyone dressed we went downstairs and made french toast (Sophia’s favorite) and greek yogurt waffles. I had one piece of french toast and a waffle. I couldn’t decide so I had a little of both. Best of everything!!
Snack – 10:00am
After seeing Sophia at school, Isabella and I went to the playground. We had so much fun. I loved spending alone time with Isabella. I seriously can’t remember the last time we spent time just the two of us. I loved running around playing and talking to my Isabella. She is such a sweet and loving girl.
As we were walking across the bridge Isabella said, “Mommy this bridge is stable”. She is so silly. What three year old says that. Oh my!! She is beyond her years.
Once we got back from the playground we shared a big bowl of fruit.
Lunch 12:00pm
I had some turkey, carrots, hummus and trader joe’s tortilla chips.
Snack 1:00pm
I had a handful of pirates booty with my girls. Yes, sometimes I go off my eating plan. Typically, if I have tortilla chips (like I did at lunch I won’t have another snack like this), but life happens. Oh well.
Dinner 6:00pm
For dinner, Sophia told me to surprise her. So, I made us an oldie but a goodie. We had my quick and easy individual pizzas on Trader Joe’s Naan bread. These are so good and easy. Sophia and Isabella loved them.
Dessert 7:30pm
I ended my day with my paleo/gluten free chocolate cake.
Today, was such a strange day with only my three little ones, but it was also a great day. I definitely missed my Sophia, but I think everything is happening just as it is supposed to. God has a plan and sometimes we have to let go and let God, which is not always easy.
One day next week I will do a day in the life post. I haven’t done one in awhile and I have been getting a lot of emails asking how are days are structured.
