Update on Monday’s Rough Day:
In the afternoon my mom came over to help me with my girls. As you know she is here everyday and I don’t know what I would do without her. She is my life savior. She would like to be here all day everyday, but right now my grandma (her mom) has needed some help too. I know she hates being away from us, but she needs to be there for her. I always worry about my mom doing too much, I feel awful that she never does anything for herself. Anyway, once she arrived things seemed to get much better. Sophia was still in a strange mood and that didn’t make the day any easier, but she loves having her Mimi with us. We took all four girls to the playground and that seemed to help everyone feel better. The fresh air, the change of scenery is just what we all needed.
Tuesday, was an amazing day for all. My mom got here first thing in the morning and we had a wonderful day. I need to remind myself to take it day by day.
Since it’s Wednesday it’s time to see what I have been eating lately.
Breakfast – 8:30
My mom came over early yesterday and got Sophia and Isabella out of bed so I could sleep in with the babies. Breakfast was later today than usual.
Oatmeal Protein Pancakes with a banana.
Lunch – 11:00
I had an early lunch today. I was starving and snack foods didn’t sound good. I had my usual a turkey wrap with hummus and cheese. Paired with half a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a handful of crackers.
Snack – 12:00
I have been getting extremely hungry lately so I grabbed a Luna bar. It is a great way to enjoy a sweet treat, but also get some protein and nutrients.
I had a bowl of fruit with go lean cereal.
Leftover grilled chicken.
Dinner – 6:00
My mom picked us up some smoothies and sandwiches. They were delicious. I got a turkey sandwich on toasted ciabatta bread with a strawberry and banana smoothie. I love smoothies on a hot summer day.
If you have been reading my blog for the past few weeks you know I have been trying to eat more to make sure my body can keep up with the demands of breastfeeding twins. Well, I think I did pretty well today. I liked having the leftover chicken to eat as a snack. I am going to try to start meal prepping over the weekend. We will see if that happens sooner or later. Meal prep is not my strong suit.
