What I Ate Wednesday # 56 – Short and Sweet

What I Ate Wednesday # 56 – Short and Sweet

I’m sorry this is such a late post, but we had another busy day. This time of year just seems to get busier and busier as the girls get older. McKenzie and McKayla have also not been sleeping very well these last few nights, so basically I have been exhausted.

Since, it is Wednesday I am linking up with Jenn for What I Ate Wednesday Tuesday, but for today I am keeping is short and sweet.

Breakfast – 7:30

Greek Yogurt Waffles

Snack – 11:00

I was so excited, yesterday, I got to workout for the first time since my hernia surgery. It felt great and now today I can barely move (best feeling). I was able to get my workout in while McKenzie and McKayla napped and Sophia and Isabella played. Actually, during part of my workout Sophia joined me. I love when my girls try to do my workout with me, it is so cute. Teaching my girls how to be healthy is my ultimate goal.

After my workout I was craving my peanut butter protein shakes.

Lunch – 11:30

Shortly, after my smoothie I was in the mood for a peanut butter and jelly, so I made half a sandwich. It was quite tasty. I paired it with a handful of Trader Joe’s mini crackers.

Dinner and Dessert

I don’t have any pictures for you, but Steve and I went to a work Christmas party at the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA). This is our second year going and it was equally as wonderful as last year. There was a buffet with beef tenderloin, three different pastas (alfredo, pesto, meet sauce), and a beautiful assortment of desserts. I had a little of everything. My motto is everything in moderation, especially this time of year.

In the Comments Below:

  1. What was your favorite food from this week?
  2. Do you feel exceptionally busy this time of year?

  1. I hear ya on feeling crazy busy this time of year! Every weekend is loaded and our week days are even packed! Although I love this time of year, I’m looking forward to a little relaxation time after the holidays when my husband is off of work for a week! But, then it is crunch time to get ready for the baby, lol! It never ends! 🙂

    • I am with you. This is my favorite time of the year, but I am looking forward to relaxing after Christmas. You are right it never ends once you are a mom, but so worth it!!
