What I Ate Wednesday # 49

What I Ate Wednesday # 49

Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope you are enjoying your week. Like usual, It has been a busy week. Today was field trip day! I am not sure who was more excited, Sophia or me. We went to an apple orchard. Going to orchards is truly one of my favorite things about the Fall. However, let me tell you I am exhausted!! A bunch of four year olds running around is so much fun, but quite tiring. I loved spending alone time with my Sophia. Such a special day. I love the time I get with each of my girls.

We rode in a bus (Sophia’s first time). On the way to the orchard the kids all got on first and Sophia told me she wanted to sit with her friends. On the way back she wanted to snuggle me on the bus; she was one tired little girl and I am one tired Mama.

It was a wonderful day of donuts, cider, and so much more.

Since, it is Wednesday it is time to talk about food. Thank you Jenn for hosting.

Since, it was Tuesday one of my wonderful neighbors made us a delicious chicken pot pie. I will tell you I definitely ate way to much, but it was so good. I am going to ask her for the recipe. It is seriously one of the best.

My sweet neighbor also brought us some cookies. I loved that they were small. After dinner I love to have a nice sweet treat, but I only need a few bites, so these was perfect.

  1. We had a field trip today for Keenan’s preschool! We visited the pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun, but like you, I’m exhausted!

My favorite food from this week was probably roasted beets that I made into a salad with chicken, goat cheese and walnuts!

    • It is so much fun watching preschoolers interact. I love seeing Sophia with her friends; she looks so grown up.

      Sounds delicious. 🙂

  2. I need to make some pumpkin pancakes! I’ve been in an oatmeal rut, and ’tis the season for pumpkin after all! 😉
