Meal # 5 – 5:30

Tuesday evenings, are officially Steve’s golf league and it will be like this all summer long. It’s no fun not to have Daddy home, but that means Mimi and Papa come over to have dinner with us. Which, we absolutely love.

Since, the weather has been so nice I have really been in the mood to grill and have corn on the cob. Last night we grilled some hot dogs, had corn on the cob, and some alexia waffle fries. It was the perfect summer meal. We even ate on the deck, Sophia and I love eating outside.

(15 grams of protein)

I added ketchup to my hot dog right after I took this picture.

Dinner - 5-7-13 Hot dog, corn, alexia fries

With summer time almost here I always try make sure to buy nitrate free hot dogs. I am totally fine with my girls eating regular hot dogs occasionally, but with how much they love them during grilling season I buy hot dogs that have the fewest most natural ingredients. Trader Joe’s has a great selection and they are delicious.

After dinner I had a glass of the Naked Green Monster.

Oh I just love to grill anything and everything in the summer…We eat with my parents alot because they live right next door and my mother is the best cook on the face of the planet, and we are SUCH an outside family that it seems like we don’t even go in to cook during the summer. Just throw it on the grill 🙂

    • Grilling is so much fun and I love the easier clean-up. My kitchen never gets as messy.
I would love for my parents to live next door. You are so blessed. My parents only live 15 minutes, but it is not close enough for me. 🙂

I love to grill romaine lettuce for ceasar salad. I could eat it every night of the summer!

    • I have never thought of grilled lettuce. It sounds delicious; crispy lettuce. We are going to have to try that soon. Thanks!
