I love checking on what I am eating each week. It’s always nice to take a minute and evaluate what I am feeding my body.
Breakfast 7:30
I was really in the mood for French Toast, but I knew I needed the extra protein from my Greek Yogurt Waffles. (23 grams of protein)
Snack 9:30
Peanut Butter Protein Shake (25 grams protein)
Lunch 11:30
I had hummus and pita with a turkey wrap. (26 grams of protein)
Snack 2:30
Half peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich with a fruit salad. I didn’t take a picture of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, it was kind of boring.
Before Dinner Snack 4:00
Dinner 5:30
Lately, I have been craving Thai food. I have been loving the noodles, the flavors, everything about it and it is so easy to make. Tonight I made us General Tso’s Chicken. (30 grams of protein)
Dessert 7:30
The girls and I made funfetti cupcakes over the weekend so I decided to have one for dessert.
FYI: If you want to make them with less calories simply substitute applesauce for oil, no one will be the wiser. I actually think they turn out even better.
Total Protein: 104 grams
Water: 128 ounces
So, excited to hit my goal of 100 grams of protein again today. I will continue on this path for my babies.
What is your favorite hummus? I would love to know which ones to try.
Do you like Thai food? Have you ever attempted making it at home?
Everything looks great! Love all the protein 🙂
And I totally agree with your comment about the applesauce substitute. Calories aside, it really does make the cupcakes moister and sweeter!
I have been working hard. 🙂
Yes, applesauce really does make them taste so good.
Love Thai food, but it just isn’t the same at home. ;(
It is so good when you order it. But I have been making it for years and really it’s pretty good. There are so many delicious recipes out there. 🙂
Aw that cupcake looks so cute. bet it was yummy!
i love hummus but its been so long since ive had any..i have a craving now!!
I LOVE thai food. In fact, I got a Thai inspired hummus last week! I usually have a couple in my refrigerator at a time. Right now it’s garlic, supremely spicy and Thai.
Yum, that hummus sounds amazing. I love garlic.
How much apple sauce do you use? Just the same amount as oil? I made a cake with a can of pumpkin once, it was a-mazing.
Yes, you substitute exactly the same amount applesauce for oil. Yes, I love using pumpkin puree. I have a recipe for pumpkin cupcakes on here that is truly delicious. 🙂
Just came across your blog from the Multiples board on The Bump and wanted to say you have a new reader 🙂 I’m over at girlandtown.com and also expecting twins! Your food inspiration is encouraging. I’m always looking for new and different ways to get more protein in my diet. Hummas is a fab idea!
Oh YAY! I am so happy to have you. I will defiantly go over and check your blog out. I love reading twin blogs, they are so far and few between. 🙂 I will only eat food that tastes good, but I try to keep it healthy. I am so glad you stopped by!
Yummy eats as usual! I’ve got to try that greek yogurt waffle sometime! Love Turkey wraps with hummus. My favorite hummus is actually a sundried tomato hummus that I make using very little oil. So good!
Thank you. You defiantly have to try those waffles, they are so good. I already went to your blog to get that hummus recipe, sounds delicious. Thanks!
How do you think the protein shake would come out if I used Chobani yogurt instead of frozen yogurt?
That is so funny you asked I just tried it the other day because I always make my girls smoothies with Greek yogurt and it turned out great. I am actually going to change the recipe to say either will work. Thanks for asking. 🙂
Your day of eats look yummy! I need to try your greek yogurt waffle sometime. Your peanut butter protein shake looks delish! I make something similar, but with almond butter (though I sometimes use peanut butter), banana, egg protein powder, dark chocolate and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It’s really good!
Thank you. Yes, the are delicious and your son will love them too. 🙂 Your protein shake sounds great, I already went over to your blog and got the recipe I will definitely be trying that soon. Thanks!
I could that exact same menu for my day, it all looks and sounds delicious!
Thank you. That is one of my favorite days of food. 🙂
