Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope your week is off to a great start. We are having a wonderful week so far. All the girls seem to be feeling better. McKayla and McKenzie are not feeling 100% yet, but they are definitely on the road to recovery. Sleep is starting to get better once again.
I can’t believe I haven’t done a Toddler Tuesday post in such a long time. I thought today would be a perfect day to write one again. I am going to try to write a Toddler Tuesday post every week; these posts will consist of toddler, baby, or preschooler related topics. I got the idea from Giselle over at My Healthy Happy Home and I love writing these post.
Today I wanted to tell you all about the new books in our lives. We have fallen in love with a new set of books and I am so excited to tell you all about them.
My brother’s girlfriend, Sarah, gave my girls these books and they were an instant hit. The rhyming and repeating throughout the books are a great way to help emergent readers begin to read. These books are so fun to read, I love the little songs that go along with each book. Not only are the books fun to read they each have a great lesson.
Isabella my two and a half year old started “reading” this book after a few times hearing it. Listening to Isabella sing the song that goes with the book is adorable. I can’t take it. Seriously, they are the best books. Our favorite is Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons.
Here are a few other Pete the Cat books we love:
I have heard so many wonderful things about this Pete the Cat book. I can’t wait to buy it!!
The teacher in me loves to add another step in the learning process and make it even more fun. Sarah is also a teacher and she emailed me a link to this great blog that has some wonderful activities and worksheets to go along with Pete the Cat books. My girls love them and I love that they are learning as we play!!
