{Amanda – Thursday’s are for Thinking Out Loud}
- Today is a very special day in our house. Seven years ago today I became a mom. Today is Sophia’s 7th birthday. Wow, I don’t know how we got here. I can’t believe she is already 7. Where did my baby go? I’m not so sure I’m old enough to have a 7 year old, but some how here we are, seven years later. Sophia is a smart, kind, caring, and loving little girl. We are blessed to have her in our lives and her sisters’ lives. Her heart is beautiful. I prayed for a daughter like Sophia. She is everything I wished for and so much more. I thank God every day for my little girl, for all my little girls. Being their mom is a true blessing.
- Sophia wanted to spend the day at the beach, so that is just what we did and we had so much fun. Afterwards, we played with water balloons and the slip n slide. It was a perfect day outside. Sophia loved every minute of it.
- Sophia’s birthday dinner was steak and not just any steak, but filet of course with a side of edamame (Sophia and Isabella have become obsessed with edamame). This is Sophia’s favorite dinner. Instead of cake she wanted brownies. The perfect dinner if you ask me.
- This past weekend McKayla and McKenzie wanted to go to the store with their daddy. While Daddy was getting dressed he put on a hat, so of course they thought they needed to wear one too. These two love going to the shopping; we are in trouble.
- This past weekend we celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday with a fun family BBQ. The girls loved playing with their cousins.
- This week was our girls’ final gymnastics class of the year and we always support each other. I can’t believe how much Sophia and Isabella have improved throughout the year. I love seeing their confidence and joy. I am one proud mama. (Sophia did not want her picture taken, but Isabella can’t get enough of the camera. Either that or she simply loves to do whatever Mama wants. :))
- Daddy took tomorrow off work to spend the long weekend with us and we are so excited to have him home. Tomorrow morning we are taking the girls to see Finding Dory; this will be McKayla and McKenzie’s first time at the movie theater. Hopefully all goes well. As long as there is popcorn I think we will have happy girls.
