Thinking Out Loud # 76 – A Day Late

1. I finally took pictures of our pumpkins, but this warm weather has really taken it’s toll on our pretty pumpkins.
2. I can’t even tell you how AMAZING our weather has been here in Michigan; it seriously feels like summer in November and we have taken full advantage of it. Well, not today we’re back in the 50s and it’s chilly, but it was fun while it lasted.
3. Isabella and I had our dentist appointments yesterday and she was such a pro. Isabella went into her exam room and I went into mine, she was so grown up and had so much fun.
4. So, we have sort of been potty training. Yes, I know you can’t really sort of potty train, but our lives are so busy we don’t really have enough time at home (I’m not ready to venture out without diapers on yet.). Anyway, McKenzie and McKayla will wear panties around the house and go on the potty about 50% of the time; not great. This morning they were wearing their panties and guess what? I forgot to put diapers on them when we took Isabella to school and the grocery store. Oh no!! Yes, I didn’t realize it until we got out of the car at Kroger; I decided to just go with it and it worked. They made it home and then had accidents. Ha!! Sophia and Isabella were potty trained in 3 short days. I have been getting a ton of emails and message asking what we do, so I will be writing a post about potty training ASAP!!
5. I can’t even tell you how excited I am for it to be Friday!! I am ready for this much needed weekend. The girls are spending the day and night at Mimi and Papa’s tomorrow. Steve and I are spending the day in Ann Arbor and going to the U of M football game (my first and only one of the year). We haven’t had a night just the two of us in months, so we are looking forward to our time together. I love my hubby and we are so grateful to my parents; they are the only two crazy people who will take all four overnight and actually enjoy it. Oh my!! Ha!!
6. Have I told you we are going to Disney World at the end of February? I don’t think I have and I can’t believe it. Our girls don’t know yet, but Steve and I are so excited. I will fill you in on the details in a later post.
