this means more then laundry and housework…
Yesterday afternoon I had so much to do to get our house back together after our trip, but I decided to not do any of it. Yes, you read that right I completely blew it off to go outside with my girls. After I got Isabella and the babies down for their naps Sophia wanted Mommy time. I must admit at first I was going to say, no I need to do this, this, and this. But, I stopped looked at her and decided I wanted to spend time with my girl so that is just what we did. We made cake pops, then went outside and jumped rope (man that is so much harder then I remember and so much harder then when I pretend to have a rope inside. Shortly after getting outside McKenzie woke up and instead of coming inside I simply brought her out. I got them both in their bathing suits and we had a wonderful afternoon outside in the sun. I can’t even tell you how amazing that made me feel. I felt like a new women. We all needed that time together enjoying the beautiful weather. Especially, after being cooped up in the car the day before. I will tell you yesterday afternoon was amazing and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
Sometimes in life you just have to take a step back and ask yourself what is important? You have to remind yourself that everything can wait. Your family is what matters.
I love watching these two play together. In this picture they are pretending they are hiking.
and since we had so much fun yesterday we just simply had to go outside again today.
Doesn’t everyone wear a princess gown while riding a bike?
Isabella is always a hot mess and I love it!!
McKenzie loved getting pushed around in the pink car.
I challenge you to take a step back from the everyday grind and simply enjoy life. Do something you love to do and spend time with the people you love because in the end that is what matters. Remember life is what we make it and I plan to make ours grand.
I have been reading for a while and just wanted to tell you that I think you are incredible. I only have twins and get lots of help from my family and just can’t imagine keeping it together with two other children as well. Keep up the awesome work momma, you are an inspiration!
Awe… thank you. You just made my day. Most times I don’t feel incredible, but then there are those moments were I can’t believe I made it through the first year. 🙂 You are so sweet.
