Wow, I can’t believe this is the start of our first full week of school. I know I keep saying this, but I am not ready. As I watched Sophia walk onto the bus today I started to get teary eyed once again. This time I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that this is our new normal; she is going to be getting on the bus going to school day in and day out for a very long time. Our pajama days are few and far between. So, I am telling you this as a mom who now has a kindergartener; enjoy your pajama days, have more of them, don’t feel guilty about relaxing with your children, love them with all your heart. They grow up before you know it. I already miss our morning snuggles and lazy days together. Trust me!!
Since, it’s Monday I am linking up with Katie for Marvelous in My Monday.
Marvelous is…
- this girl. She insisted on wearing three hairbands. She loves everything girly. McKayla is such a silly girl. Her smile is amazing. I can’t believer how young she is to already insist on having something in her hair. Oh my!!
- walking into our house after Sophia got on the bus and Isabella saying, “I am sad to be all alone, I miss sissy.” I told her she wasn’t alone and she said it’s not the same. My poor Isabella is just as sad as Mommy.
- playing with our cousins. Hubby went to the football game tonight so my wonderful sister-in-law came over with her two children. I love watching all the cousins play and they love to be together. It was such a fun evening. Adult time for us and kid time for them. It’s a win-win.
- feeling okay with cutting down my workouts to 5 days instead of 7. Now that Sophia has started school I decided my body needs to have a couple rest days. Our lives are changing so much and my body is feeling it. I preach everything in moderation and I need to believe it myself. I am good with doing it with food, but sometimes I over do the exercise part. It takes time.
- my first trip to the grocery store with my three little ones. Our grocery store has carts with a car connected in the front; so Isabella sat in the car and McKenzie and McKayla were in the double seated cart. Our trip was a success. Our lives are changing!!
This picture was taken at the end of our trip and they were pretty much done sitting in the stroller, but my girls were amazing. McKayla had finally figured out how to turn around in the seat. Oh my!!

- What is on your mind?
Your girls are just too cute! Glad to hear your outing with all girls was such a success! You’re amazing! I love that McKayla figured out how to turn around in her seat in the cart. Haha! And yes – rest days are so crucial!! Just as important as the workouts themselves in my opinion. 🙂
Awe, thank you. It felt amazing to actually go grocery shopping with my girl all by myself. For some reason I have been so afraid, but it felt great to finally feel normal. 🙂
McKayla is such a monkey and a silly girl.
Yes, I have to remind myself how important rest days are for my health and fitness.
