Another wonderful weekend has come and gone. I feel like I say that far too often.
Our weekend started with a Friday with Mimi and a sleepover for Sophia and Isabella at Auntie Ade and Uncle Scotty’s house. Which meant we had alone time with our babies. Any time I get alone time with any of my girls is extra special. Don’t get my wrong I love our together time too, but something about one-on-one time is beautiful.
Saturday was rest day so I slept in until 6:30. Okay, you know your a mom when sleeping in to 6:30 is well sleeping in.
Is rest day hard for anyone else or is it just me? Seriously, I have a love/hate relationship with taking days off. I look forward to them because I work so hard the other 6 days, but I also love exercising and the feeling it gives me each morning that rest days just bum me out.
I must admit that even though 6:30am is early on a Saturday, I loved my early more snuggle with my McKayla. It was just the two of us until Daddy and McKenzie woke up at 7:15. Once they finally joined us we went to get donuts.
McKayla’s all of a sudden adopted this silly smile. Oh my!!
After nap time we met my girls (with Mimi, Papa, Auntie Ade and Uncle Scotty) at a birthday party. Boy, did I miss Sophia and Isabella and boy were they tired. Partying all night with Auntie Ade and Uncle Scotty was sure catching up to them. I think they are still recovering from it today. Ha!!
We had a nice and relaxing Sunday, as in I didn’t even get dressed. But, the good news is I have noticed I am so much more productive on days I stay in comfy clothes and Sunday sure was productive. I have also decided that in reality my house isn’t going to really by clean until school starts in a couple of weeks. Even with that said I am nowhere near ready to say goodbye to my girls.
