Good evening everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am going to take a break from my usual Wednesday post to talk about this fun campaign Vegas.com is doing for the month of April.
April is National Stress Awareness month so the campaign is called “Let Loose”. This campaign promotes taking time out of our busy schedules to relax and unwind. As we know it is difficult to take time out for ourselves, but it is also very important. As a busy mom of four daughters this is not an easy task.
As much, as I would love to be able to travel to Las Vegas every time I needed some rest and relaxation it is just not possible at this time in our lives. So, I have found other ways to unwind. I thought I would share some of my favorites with you.
- Exercise. Yes, not everyone finds exercise to be a way to let loose, but for me it is a major stress relief. I love being able to get out of my head each and every day. Right now I have been working out from home, but it becomes even more relaxing when I can get to the gym.
- Getting a massage or a facial. A couple years ago I bought Steve a package that gives him a massage a month and a few times a year I will use one. This is a great way to truly relax. I know after getting a massage or facial I feel great for days.
- Manicures and pedicures are some of my favorites as well. I love having my nails done, something about it just makes you feel pretty. It is definitely rubbing off on my girls. Sophia always ask when she can go get her nails and toes painted again.
- Okay to be honest with you at this point in my life a trip to Target is amazing and a wonderful way release some stress. So, I guess I’m not too exciting.
- Last, but not least one of my favorite ways to let loose and unwind is going on a trip to Las Vegas. Vegas definitely has a sweet spot in my heart; it is where Steve and I got engaged. I will never forget our first trip there and I will never forget his proposal. It makes me smile just thinking about it. Vegas is a place that makes you forget all your troubles and simply let yourself go a little “crazy”. Steve and I are actually in the process of planning a trip there in August. We decided once we make it through McKenzie and Mckayla’s first year we deserve a vacation!! Any new parents; especially parents of twins understand exactly what I mean. This is a much needed trip and I can’t wait to get away for a few days. We are still in the planning process, so I am not sure about details just yet, but I will keep you updated. One of my favorite shows to see in Vegas is “O” the Cirque du Soleil show at the Bellagio. It is incredible; I would love to see it again, but we will see. When choosing a hotel my number one priority is always the pool; that is how I like to spend my days; nice and relaxing.
