Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope your week if off to a great start. We have been recouping from our busy weekend. Sophia and Isabella have been loving all their new toys. The Barbie dream house can seriously keep them busy for hours. Yesterday, they were able to ride their new bikes and scooters, but it was rainy today. I secretly loved the rain to help us all relax. McKenzie and McKayla are sick again, so they haven’t been very happy. Actually, they have their moments. I feel so terrible for them. I took them to the doctor yesterday and they have sinus infections. Poor babies. But, I do think this is my sign that getting tubes in their ears is a must. I think this is God telling me we are making the right decision. We need to get our girls healthy. The more and more people I talk to say their babies we night and day different after the surgery. I hope that happens for our girls too; I hate seeing them sick.
Today I wanted to talk about beginning and ending our day with happiness. I read an article that said the most important times of the day are the 3 minutes after waking and the 3 minutes before bed. Even before reading this article I always try to get my girls out of bed happy. Whenever I get my girls up we sign a song. I sing, “Good morning, good morning, what a wonderful day. Good morning, good morning, what a wonderful day.” This always puts a smile on my girls’ face.
Remember no matter how tired you may be put a smile on your face and give your kids a snuggle. I always make sure they know I love seeing their faces each and every morning. I miss them when they are sleeping. Trust me there are so many morning where I am exhausted and I have to put a fake smile and sing my song, but I do. Our days are so much happier when we begin with happiness.
Ending your day with happiness is just as important. We always read books, say our prayers, and have a few minutes of snuggle time. I make sure we end our day with love.

How do you start and end your day?
I love reading your posts. Thanks for the reminder to choose happiness 🙂 More than anything I want to give my girls a joyful life! I started greeting my girls with big smiles when they wake up from naps as well and it really sets a positive tone throughout the day.
Thank you. Yes, I agree giving our kids a happy life is so important. I will have to remember nap time as well. Sometimes when they take short naps that’s not easy. 🙂
I love your posts! I also try to start the mornings with lots of snuggles, smiles, and giggles! My twin boys are so happy in the morning. I need to work on the evenings, they are usually very fussy. Thanks for the reminder.
Awe, thank you. Oh the snuggles are the best. I love my morning hugs. Yes, evenings are difficult for us too, but they do get easier as they get older. 🙂
Love this! You are so right in starting and ending your day with happiness! It makes a HUGE difference with kids. I do the same thing and always make sure to give Keenan and Mirella a “morning kiss and a hug” everyday. If we are in a hurry to get out the door and I forget, Keenan always reminds me to give him his kiss and hug! It melts my heart!
It really does. I know it make my day so much better too. I try to wake up and say this is going to be a wonderful day no matter how little sleep I had. That is best when your little one asks for a kiss.
