I hope your week is going well. Our week is flying by, as usual. I am sorry I didn’t post yesterday I had all the intentions in the world, but I was exhausted by the end of the day and it just didn’t happen.
Since, it is Wednesday it is time to talk about food. Thank you to Jenn for hosting this fun link-up.
Breakfast 7:00am
My day started with a workout at 5:30am an afterwards I made my peanut butter protein shake. This is nice and quick and holds me over until we have breakfast.
6 ice cubes, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, and 2 tablespoons peanut butter powder
Once Sophia and I were dressed for the day (it was a school day) we went downstairs to make breakfast. This morning everyone was in the mood for different things. Basically I was a cook at a restaurant. I made Sophia and Isabella French toast. McKenzie and McKayla had pumpkin pancakes, and I was in the mood for Greek yogurt waffles. Oh my, we had a busy kitchen this morning, but I do love breakfast.
Snack 9:30am
Once I got back from dropping Sophia off at school I was hungry again. Since I had leftover pancake batter I made a couple pumpkin protein pancakes and they hit the spot. I also love the staying power of all the protein and oats. I added a bowl of fruit and shared it with Isabella.
Snack 10:15am
Right before leaving the house for an appointment I had a few yogurt covered pretzels with almond butter, my favorite snack right now!
Lunch 12:30
As soon as I walked into the house both McKenzie and McKayla wanted Mommy and needed a nap, but I was starving. So I quickly ate a little bit of salsa chicken we had leftover.
Once I put both girls to sleep I ate a peanut butter and jelly wrap with one of my favorite paleo protein bars.
Snack 3:15pm
Before heading out the door to pick Sophia up from school I had a bowl of fruit and a handful of chocolate covered pretzels.
Dinner 5:45pm
Once Sophia and I got home from gymnastics I was starving. My wonderful mother had taco meat all ready for us. I made myself a couple of tacos, they were delicious. Taco’s are such an easy dinner and as long as you are careful about what you put on them they make a great healthy meal.
Dessert 7:30pm
Of course, I had to end my day with my favorite single serve chocolate cake. Yum!!
