Good morning everyone. Wow, I can’t believe how little sleep we are all getting in this house these days. But, somehow we are all functioning and doing relatively well.
Meal # 1 – 8:00
Snack – 10:30
Meal # 2 – 12:00
I had a turkey wrap with half of peanut butter and jelly. I forgot to take a picture of the sandwich. I am a little sleep deprived.
Snack – 3:00
Meal # 3 – 6:00
I can’t even begin to tell you what wonderful family and friends we have. Tonight, one of my cousins made us a delicious dinner. From salad (forgot picture) to lasagna to dessert.
It was so tasty I ate my entire serving before I remembered I needed to take a picture and I seriously could have eaten the whole pan. Oh and the brownies, don’t even get me started on those, they were the most delicious brownies I have even eaten and I almost did eat the entire pan. I can never get enough of amazing brownies. The best brownies are soft and gooey.
As I am writing this I am beginning to realize I don’t think I am eating enough. But, I am exhausted and really don’t have any time. I know I need to step it up or my milk supply might begin to deplete and I definitely don’t want that to happen.
I know yesterday I ate enough thanks to the lasagna, brownies, and cookies, but most days I am not eating all of that. I really need to add in more healthy things to keep me going or I am going to crash sooner than later.
This weeks What I Ate Wednesday was a real eye opener for me. I am going to work on my eating this coming week. Hopefully next Wednesday looks much better. This is why I love “What I Ate Wednesdays”
In the Comments Below:

What was your favorite thing you ate this week?
- What is one food you can’t get enough of when you start eating it?
One thing that I love about WIAW posts is reflection about the things we eat. I noticed yesterday after I was writing up my post that I definitely did not eat enough, so I spent some time last night doing some smart snacking. 😉 Do the best you can with those little girls on your hands – you’re doing a great job!
Its so crazy how our body still functions (and adapts) with little to no sleep when we have newborns. Now if I don’t get at least 6 hours of sleep I’m a mess the next day! yet somehow I managed going days with less than 3 hours of sleep a night! Crazy!
It is so crazy. I always need so much sleep, but whenever I have babies I can concur the world with little to no sleep. 🙂
One food I can’t get enough of when I start eating it is popcorn, especially kettle corn! I just love that stuff!
Hang in there on the sleep part. It definitely is amazing how our bodies learn to adapt to the lack of sleep. I remember those early days so clearly and I am definitely not looking forward to them in the next few months!
Oh yes, popcorn is so tasty.
I think this is one of the most difficult parts of being a parent and it is simply because of the lack of sleep. 🙂
I think u do need to eat more.. I’m a wreck and you are SO amazing, honeslty. I am in early 30’s, binging late late late at night (yet ironically underweight), chronic fatigue and muscle issues so that I do nada exercise except for SLOW walking, digestion is horrible (IBS – C)…a complete wreck…honestly u are rockstar. Give me a meal plan and beginner fitness plan and tell me how to relieve my body 🙂 I’d be so happy 🙂
