21 Day Fix Extreme – Round 1 Review

These past 21 days were AMAZING!! I truly cannot express enough to you how much I love this program. I loved it so much I decided to go right into three more weeks, then I will take a week break and do another round. Ideally, I think I would like to alternate this program with PIYO (but I don’t want to spend the money on more workout DVD’s right now). The PIYO program uses only body weight; no weights, no jumps, so I think this would be a perfect complement to the 21 day fix extreme program. Give me a few months and I am sure I will be ready to try something new.

Nutrition:

  1. Easy to understand and follow.
  2. I never felt hungry.
  3. I am eating WAY more fruit and veggies.
  4. I am eating at least 40 more grams of protein the before.
  5. I have been able to eat all my typical foods. I am simply even more aware of my portion size.
  6. Every once in awhile I do miss my sweets, but for the most part I don’t even think about it.

Workouts:

1. Your package includes 2 DVD’s with seven, 30 minute workouts and one 10 minute core workout:

  • Plyo Fix Extreme
  • Upper Fix Extreme
  • Pilates Fix Extreme
  • Lower Fix Extreme
  • Cardio Fix Extreme
  • Dirty 30 Extreme
  • Yoga Fix Extreme
  • 10 Min Hardcore

These workouts are tough, but doable. I love that they are only 30 minutes long, yet you will get an amazing workout. You will need two sets of dumbbells and a resistance band. A yoga mat is helpful, but not necessary.

The Results from my first my 1st Round of 21 Day Fix Extreme:

I lost…

  • 4 pounds (yes this was not my goal, but it happened)
  • 1/2 an inch off each thigh
  • 1 inch off my belly
  • 1/2 inch off my hips

I love where this program has taken my body. I see so much more definition and tone. I am stronger and just all around healthier. I am less bloated. I am much more mindful of what I am putting into my body and I love that. I love that I now stop and think about the snacks I am eating throughout the day. I love that I now naturally grab carrots, strawberries, grapes, etc. This program has gotten me to think differently about my lifestyle. I feel much healthier then ever before. This program showed me that I can take my body to the next level with just a little tweaking here and there.

What Now:

I decided I am going to continue right on with the 21 day fix extreme program for three more weeks before taking a break (I will do this program for 6 weeks straight). I will then take a week off and give my body a little break; now don’t think I won’t do any workouts that week, just easier. I am not sure what I will do during that week yet; I will let you know as soon as I figure it out.
