What I Ate Wednesday # 31

What I Ate Wednesday # 31

Good morning everyone. I hope your week is off to a great start. I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday. We have the girls’ birthday party this weekend. I am so excited to get to celebrate both my girls. I will fill you in on the details as the week progresses.

Lately, I have really been eating a mix of things. I am still not very hungry, but I continue to get enough protein. It is tough.

Meal # 1 – 7:30

We had Greek Yogurt Waffles again this morning. This is one of our favorites and a great source of protein. (23 grams of protein)

WIAW 31 - Waffle

Meal # 2 – 11:00

I forgot to take a picture of this meal, but I had some turkey with hummus and cheese in a Tumaro wrap. They have 5 grams of protein and are delicious. (30 grams of protein)

Snack # 1 – 11:30

WIAW 31 - milk
WIAW 31 - Nana's Cookie

Nana made dinner for us Monday night as well as these amazing chocolate chip cookies. I paired it with a glass of milk as a mid day treat.  (8 grams of protein)

Snack # 2 – 2:30

I had a bowl of fruit with Go Lean cereal, my favorite. (20 grams of protein)

Meal # 3 – 6:00

After Isabella woke up from her nap the girls and I met Mimi at Party City to buy everything we needed for their birthday party. I will fill I you in on everything we bought in the next couple days. It was quite the adventure. Party City with a 2 and 4 year old is quite interesting. I will say Isabella was easy because she really didn’t care, but Sophia was picky about everything. We had a breakdown during our trip, but she ended up telling me she just needs more Mommy time. I really think it is starting to hit her that she is going to have to share me with two more sisters. I need to make sure we get alone time everyday.

I have learned when my girls are breaking down it is usually about so much more than what the issue is at the moment. I try to take a step back and figure out what’s really going on.

After our shopping trip we decided to get some dinner. We ended up going to Max and Erma’s. Sophia love’s this restaurants because they have chocolate chip cookies. These are not your basic cookies, they come out hot and fresh.

I need to get better about remembering to take pictures of food when we go out to eat, but I am simply not in the habit. We really don’t go out to dinner very much. I prefer to eat at home, I like to know what is in my food. I know I am strange.

For dinner I ordered a chicken sandwich. I also had a side salad with balsamic dressing (Isabella loves salad and ate half, next time I am ordering a bigger salad). We ended the meal with warm chocolate chip cookies. These cookies were so hot when they brought them to the table we couldn’t even touch them. Yum! (25 grams of protein)

Total Protein: 105 grams

Total Water: 130 ounces

I so need to get a waffle machine, I am very jealous of your breakfast! That cookie also looks good enough to make me munch the screen, do you think Nana will share the recipe 😉
    Have a lovely week

    • You should definitely buy one and it doesn’t have to be anything special. The one I am currently using was inexpensive and our waffles turn our great. 🙂

I think I might be able to great Nana’s cookie recipe. I will work on that this week!!

Yay for those waffles! I’m definitely making them again this weekend. I didn’t make them last weekend (I think the first weekend I haven’t made them in well over a month…), and it just wasn’t right. 😉

I have my favorite dishes at certain restaurants, and if it’s a new place, I’ll just get whatever is vegetarian and looks good. 🙂

    • They are addicting. Seriously, some days I crave them. I know I am nuts. 🙂

I know sometimes I feel like I order the same thing because I know I like it!

Those cookies look wonderful! I lie cookies dunked in milk. I usually prefer to eat at home to save money but like going out on occasion. I like to order things I wouldn’t typically make at home.

I’m sure the girls birthday will turn out amazing!
Those wraps sound yummy! Love the addition of chia seeds!
I’m a home body when it comes to eating out. We have a few restaurants that we’ll eat out at but I’m so picky we tend to stay home. I do enjoy my sushi though!

    • Thank you, I just forgot how much work party are to put on. Or it might just seem like that because of the twins in my belly. haha 🙂

They are great and yes the chia seeds are a nice bonus.

I am just like you when talking about eating out. I would much rather eat at home and make my own wrap and know what’s in it!

Interesting. I’ve never seen those wraps before. I’m going to have to do some investigating. I’ve really been missing sandwiches lately. This might be a good alternative. Although it probably still has gluten so I might need to see if there is a gluten-free version.

    • I hadn’t seen them before until I went to a different grocery store that is not as close to us and they had every kind of wrap imaginable. They are really good and the ingredients make them even better.

I SO need a waffle maker…For some reason I’ve never had one and I would love to try those greek yogurt waffles 🙂

    • Yes, go buy one. 🙂 Seriously, the one I have been using is nothing special and makes delicious waffles. You have to try them!!

My brother is the same way with cookies. You know that you made a good batch if he pulls out the gallon of milk. If they are not good he’ll just eat one. If they are amazing the gallon of milk will travel into the living room with him and he has a permanent cup that stays filled through the night. Lol.

Once you have the little ones you should take up some hardcore weight lifting. With all of the protein that you’re getting in you’ll be buff 😉

    • That is perfect! And for me the milk has to be nice and cold. 🙂

I never thought about all this protein and muscle growth. I think I am going to have to do some seriously workouts after the girls arrive!! Thank you!

A cookie just has to go with a glass of milk haha!
All of your eats look really good; I really need to get round to buying myself a waffle maker!!
