Before, I get into Toddler Tuesday I wanted to update all of you about my doctors appointment yesterday. I heard both heartbeats and it was the most amazing sound. We could also hear that they were moving like crazy. They kept making the doppler go nuts. I can’t wait to see our two babies on the ultrasound in a month. She also told me I really need to take it easy. She said preterm labor is very real in twin pregnancies. I did know this but it is so hard not being about to do a lot. It is difficult to not clean and not carry my girls. But I know it is only for six more months and it is to keep these two babies inside of me safe. I can do this! All-in-all everything looks great. I can’t wait for the ultrasound and my next appointment.
Giselle over at My Healthy Happy Home started doing this great link up called Toddler Tuesday. I thought it sounded like a great way for me to document somethings my girls do throughout the week. They are growing up so fast and sometimes I forget to write down or capture special moments. So, I thought this would be a great way to always remember my girls at these ages.
A Sophia Moment:
This past week we told Sophia about Mommy having two babies in her belly and that her and Bella are going to be big sisters. We told her she is going to be the biggest sister and Bella was now going to be a big sister. She was so excited.
The first thing she said was how will these babies come out? We told her the doctor would take them out at the hospital. Okay, well I want to be there to watch the babies come out. (Oh, my!) We told her Mimi was going to come and stay with her and Bella and they were going to have so much fun, but she proceed to say that sounds great but I want to see the babies come out. So, we simply told her we would talk about it later. Sometimes, Sophia is just too smart. 🙂
Every night since then Sophia kisses and hugs my belly good night. She tells the babies she loves them and can’t wait to meet them. It truly melts my heart.
A little flashback – Sophia meeting her sister Isabella for the first time June 2011.
An Isabella Moment:
This whole climbing thing is new to me. Sophia was never a climber, she is always very cautious. Isabella is more of my daredevil and she is definitely sneakier. Sophia is such a rule follower. It is so much fun to watch how different their personalities are becoming. They are simpler yet so different. I love them both more then words can say.
First of all, thank you for linking up!
Second, how exciting to hear the heart beats! I remember that first sound but to hear two would be double exciting!
Last, how adorable is Sophia!?! I love that she asked how they were going to come out. Too cute! Good luck taking it easy!
Thank you for hosting. I love that this will remind me to record things my girls are doing at these stages. I never want to forget these moments. 🙂
It was amazing to hear these two babies, it just makes everything more real and remind me why I need to take such good care of myself,
Thank you. She is truly something else. I just love her.
Awe…the sound of the heartbeat, I remember that moment so well. That is so cute that Sophia asked how the babies are going to come out and that she wants to watch…too funny! Take care of yourself!
I think it is one of those moments you never forget. It is such a special time. Thank you, I don’t even know what made her think of that at 3 years old. Ha! 🙂
