Thinking Out Loud # 91 – The Power of Positive Thinking

there is always something to be thankful for

{Amanda – Thursdays are for Thinking Out Loud}

  1. I try to live my life with a positive mind set, I am the glass is half full type of person. Some may say I live in a fantasy world and you know what some times I do. Steve is more of a realist and sometimes that means he is a pessimist, but we balance each other and it is perfect. Sometimes, he has to bring me back to reality. I try to teach my girls to look for the good in every situation. I want them to know there is always something to be thankful for. There is always good in every situation, sometimes you just have to look a little harder. Happiness is a choice that we need to make every day.the good in everything
  2. School is out for the summer and I am not sure who is more excited. Seriously, it was so nice waking up and not having to rush out the door. Between school and activities we were always on the go. This morning I woke worked out, ate breakfast, and read a little of my book before anyone even opened their eyes. Once, my girls woke up it was snuggle time and that is my favorite time. It was truly the perfect start to our summer vacation.
  3. The #1 thing on Sophia’s birthday list was a fin fun mermaid tail. She, of course asked Mimi and Papa for it and I can tell you they got it for her and she is in love. I have to say so am I. They are beautiful and Sophia looks like a real mermaid when he swims. This is just one more reason to love summer and the swimming pool. I must admit I kind of want one too. I mean who doesn’t wish they were a mermaid. 🙂mermaidjune 2015 pool sophia mermaid
  4. Okay this might be another summertime favorite of mine. I love wrapping my girls in their towels after a fun afternoon at the pool. They are just too cute for words.june 2016 pool mckayla towel
  5. I can’t believe we are more then half way through June. Where is the time going? Good thing we have a nice and relaxing Father’s Day weekend planned. I can’t wait to celebrate my hubby, dad, and father-in-law.
  6. My favorite way to end my day is reading a good book in bed and that is just what I am going to do. Don’t You Cry by Mary Kubica is amazing. It’s truly a book you just can’t put down. So, I am going to be early and reading until my eyes can’t stay open anymore.
