Thinking Out Loud # 66

1. I have been having some rough days lately. I haven’t felt very good about myself in so many ways. I just feel like I’m simply going through the motions as a mom, wife, and homemaker. I feel as though I am failing at my pursuit for the “perfect” body (I haven’t figured out what that is yet, but apparently nothing is good enough for me. I work so hard, but just can’t get to where I want to go.). That is an entirely didn’t post, for an entirely different time.

2. Sophia asked me if I feel like Cinderella? I asked, “why?”. She then answered, “because you are always cleaning up after everyone.”

3. Tonight, I had a ladies night out and it was just what I needed. However, we didn’t have the best afternoon so I was sad most of the time. I just couldn’t stop thinking about missing my bedtime snuggles. Sophia stayed up until I got home (Daddy said she almost feel asleep, but he kept her up those last 5 minutes and it was perfect). Her hug was just what I needed. Hugs from my girls are the best.

4. We went to the splash park for the first time yesterday and had so much fun. Watching my girls approach this new situation was amazing. I love seeing their different personalities shine through. McKayla was more of an observe, a studier for that matter. She is cautious and isn’t going to do anything she doesn’t want to do. McKenzie is a doer, she doesn’t stop to think she just goes. She gets caught up in the fun and then found her self getting water dumped on her head. Oh my!! They make a perfect pair. Sophia is definitely more like McKayla is watching and studied before going in and even then she kept taking a step back. However, Isabella just jumped right in, she didn’t even stop to think about the chill of the water or the buckets dumping on her head, she just went for it. Oh I just love my girls.
