This week we are taking a break from What I Ate Wednesday, but I will be back at talking about food next week. It’s kind of a nice change.
Whoo hoo!! I am finally caught up on my birthday letters to my girls. Next letter to write will be McKenzie and Mckayla’s, but for now I am right on track.
Dear Sophia,
I can’t even begin to fathom that you are five years old and going to kindergarten in the fall. My little girl is going to be at school all day every day. I can’t believe we are already at this point in our lives.
You are so special to me. You are my girlfriend. I love to be with you and have our Mommy and Sophia time. We are so much alike it’s crazy. You are a wonderful person with a kind heart and I love that about you. You love to take care of people just like your mama.
We are snuggle buddies. I love when you want to snuggle me, as you get older that is happening less and less.
You have been going through a mommy phase. You have been having some separation anxiety and I hate to see you sad. But I love the connection we have, it is so special.
This year you took ballet and danced in your second recital. You were a beautiful ballerina. Sophia you light up on stage. I love watching you dance.
This year was your first time taking a gymnastics class and you loved everything about it. You told me it was your favorite thing to do. And let me tell you, you are amazing at it. You have actually been chosen to be in an invitation only class and I couldn’t be prouder.
You are the best biggest sister. You take care of all your sisters so well and they love you for that. You always tell Isabella you will never let anything bad happen to her and it is so sweet. You hate to hear McKenzie and McKayla cry and try to fix it always. Sometimes I have to tell you that babies just cry and you don’t like that you always want to help them and that is what makes you so wonderful. You hate to see any of your sisters sad.
You are such a sensitive little girl. You love to take care of anyone and everyone.
This year was your first year of school and you loved it. You loved your teacher, you cried on the last day of school.
You are still my rule follower and don’t like when anyone breaks the rules. You are a lot like your mommy in that way. You are a good girl.
You are a very intelligent little girl. We have no idea how you come up with some of the things you say. You are definitely a negotiator and are pretty good at it. You are going to do great things in life.
You love you daddy very much. The two of you have a special relationship and love watching it grow and blossom as you get older. You and daddy are always laughing together and love when he has a home day.
Good-bye’s are not your thing. You hate when people you love have to leave.
You loved going to Disney World and everything about our trip. You always say you can’t wait to go back. You wanted to go on every ride you could and even the ones you couldn’t. You never wanted to leave and I loved watching your sweet face light up everything you saw something new.
Daddy and I love you more then you will ever know. You are our first daughter and we can’t imagine our life without. Thank you for being such a wonderful daughter. I love our relationship and I can’t wait for it to continue to grow. You mean the world to me.
Love your Mommy!
I haven’t commented in a long time but I read all of your sweet posts! You are such an amazing mama to your girls. Since transitioning from 1-2 I have thought of you so often and pulled strength from you. You are quite simply, amazing!
Happy belated birthday to all your beautiful ladies!
Xo
Awe, thank you. I am so glad I can give you strength. Some days I definitely don’t feel amazing, but I know that is just how it goes. But when I sit back and look at my girls I know life is good. We hope to see you soon and I can’t wait to meet your new little one. Love you!!
I love this post as well as your daughter’s 3 year post. They will LOVE to read those letters when they are older!
Thank you. I love writing these letters and I hope my girls love reading them!
