Sisterly Love

Seeing the way my girls love each other brings tears of joy to my eyes. Yes, my girls have their moments and some days it seems like all they do is fight, but when it comes down to it they are the best of friends and will always take care of each other no matter what.

While waiting for Isabella to finish her dance class Sophia asks me “how long until Isabella is done?” I tell her 15 minutes, not too much longer. She then goes on to say we better get over to her room early so she isn’t in the hall looking for us. We don’t want her to worry. I told Sophia we will be okay, I promise I will never make you worry about where I am, I will always be there for all of you. In that moment I saw the love between Sophia and her sister. I saw how much she genuinely cares about her sister’s well being. Sophia is always worried about her little sisters. I can’t even begin to tell you all the moments she worries about McKenzie and McKayla. I truly think she doesn’t like how relaxed I am with them. Ha!!

The love between twins is unlike any other love. McKenzie and McKayla have had a companion, friend, and confidant (partner in crime) from the moment of conception. Seeing the compassion and love they have for one another at such a young age is truly a blessing. No matter what they are doing when one of them starts crying or gets upset the other is right there to see if they are ok (“you otay?”); even if they were the one to cause the trouble. Oh my girls.

Trust me when I say they aren’t always like this, but when it counts my girls are ALWAYS united.
