Random Friday

1. Since, I missed Thinking Out Loud Thursday I thought today would be a random Friday. I wanted to post yesterday because I just have so much to tell you. Last night was our neighborhood bunco night and by the time I got home I simply wanted to climb in bed.

2. I keep thinking things are going to slow down around here, but guess what? I don’t think they are ever going to slow down and you know what? That’s okay. I realized that as exhausting as our lives are this is exactly what I am supposed to be doing. I am right where I am meant to be. My life is perfectly, imperfect!!

3. McKayla has been waking up around 6am; give or take a few minutes. At first I would get frustrated, but now I am embracing it. I get to spend a few extra minutes just the two of us. As a mom we simply have to realize the plans are made when we least expect them. I am truly trying to enjoy each moment.

4. One of my favorite gifts this year was my Fitbit. I have been looking at these for months, but hadn’t bought one. Well, my hubby and his mom completely surprised me Christmas morning. I seriously didn’t think anyone was getting this for me and she surprised me with a cute pink one. Love it!! I love that it makes me think more about how active I am throughout the day; with four little ones that’s a lot. The only thing I am discovering is that when I am holding a baby (in the same hand as the activity monitor) it does not always count my steps and let me tell you that means it barely counts my steps. 🙂 I am still getting at least 10,000 steps a day, but this week my hubby and I were in a steps competition and I lost (holding babies is my reason and I am sticking to it). Ha!!

5. I can’t stop thinking about 21 Day Fix Extreme. I think I am going to have to give it a go simply so I stop thinking about it. I think it comes out for presale on February 4th.

6. I found this on pinterest and thought it would be fun to do with Sophia and Isabella. The other night I simply asked Sophia the first few questions while we were snuggling in bed and these were her answers:

  1. “I love you”
  2. “When we are happy”
  3. “When we cry and the babies cry a lot”

I can’t wait to sit down and interview them. I think this will be so cute to have as a keepsake.

7. I have been working on a post about my disordered eating and fitness habits from high school and college and I am excited nervous to share it with you. It’s not ready yet, but soon. One of the reasons I started this blog was to share my story and how you can be fit and healthy. I am seriously the healthiest I have ever been.

8. I feel like I had so much more to tell you, but I can’t remember right now. I guess it will have to wait until next week.

In the Comments Below:

  1. Tell me your random thoughts this cold Friday. Yes, it’s ridiculously cold here. I am ready to pack up and move south.
