Good evening everyone. I hope all of you had a wonderful Halloween and weekend. We had an amazing family weekend. We didn’t do much, but truly enjoyed each other. Since, it’s Monday I am linking up with Katie for Marvelous in My Monday.
Marvelous is…
celebrating holidays through your children’s eyes and Halloween is no exception. The festivities all began with a parade and party at Sophia’s school; the entire family went. Isabella loved being in Sissy’s classroom. It was amazing to watch Sophia show Isabella how everything works in kindergarten. I loved watching my girls take care of each other.
Even though our weather was more winter like then fall we still had fun trick or treating with the girls; we only lasted about 30 minutes though. Sophia and Isabella actually enjoyed passing out candy just as much as trick or treating. At one point Sophia actually started giving her candy to kids trick or treating (she thought we were all out, but I told her I had more).
carving pumpkins is my favorite. Yes, it takes us a long time to create these, but I love doing this with my girls and my girls love their pumpkins. I still have some more perfecting to do, but as the years go on I will have a lot of time to practice.
teaching our daughters about moderation. Last year, in this post, I talked about how we handle the over abundance of candy in our house and this is exactly how we handled it this year.
breakfast with Mimi and Papa. It is so nice that McKenzie and McKayla can actually sit through a meal at a restaurant. We were there for about an hour and they were amazing; well amazing for 1 year old standards.
This quote made me laugh; I thought you would like it too.
I must say my smart hubby decided that we should slowly transition McKenzie and McKayla. So, each night during the few days leading up to the time change we pushed the babies bedtime later and later. This way their internal clocks would change. So, by this morning they have already transitioned into the new time. Much better then a 5am wake up call. 🙂
