Marvelous is appreciating all of God’s gifts no matter what comes your way.
This weekend Sophia and Isabella spent the night at Mimi and Papa’s house. They went to Disney on Ice and sat front row. They had so much fun. It was wonderful that it was simply all about them. They love spending time with their grandparents. It is marvelous that we live close enough to be able to do this. I love the relationship they have developed with them. I can’t wait to see it grow.
Meanwhile, it was just the babies and me (Steve was out of town). I thought being home with McKenzie and McKayla for a night was going to be more refreshing. I thought it was going to be a much needed break from the chaos of everyday life. Which it was a little, don’t get me wrong. But boy oh boy did I miss my girls. I missed all the hustle and bustle. I missed all my hugs and kisses. I simply missed my Sophia and Isabella. I missed my house full of laughter and love. Whenever my girls are away from me I go through the same emotional rollercoaster. This weekend was no exception. McKenzie and McKayla definitely felt the same.
I was alone with McKenzie and McKayla which is usually not a big deal, however, for the past month or so they have been colicky, so nights are rough. We were having a really good evening until they both wanted to be snuggled (walked around for awhile; not sitting) and put to sleep at the same time. From 8:30-9:00 I juggled both girls until I finally got them to sleep. I sure did miss my hubby. He is amazing. He is wonderful and McKenzie and McKayla love when Daddy puts them to sleep.
Marvelous is being reminded how wonderful our lives truly are. It is realizing that miracles come in everyday life. Being reminded of all our blessings is truly marvelous!!
Don’t forget to try and find the positive in every situation. Life is all about choosing happiness!!

Tell me all about what is marvelous in your life?
Love this post, Renee! You are so right! Even when times are tough, I always try to look on the bright side and find the positive in the situation. Life is too short to not appreciate the little things and simply enjoy what is around you (no matter how hectic and rough life can get).
Thank you. 🙂 We always have to think life is wonderful!!
You are a rock star mama! It is so so hard when two babies want your attention at the same time. We have also had some moments where the girls are a hot mess and I am the only one around. I don’t think I could do the bedtime thing by myself – both little ladies like being rocked to sleep and snuggled with, and I loooove that time with them and that they get to snuggle with their daddy too!
Thank you!! That is the worst, I feel so bad for McKenzie and McKayla. I want to help them both, but the best thing I could do is realize that is not possible. I agree I love snuggling with both of them too. I am starting to figure out how we are going to transition them to their own room. I might even stager bed and naps by a few minutes, simply to get some alone time. I will let you know what we decide. 🙂
