Marvelous in My Monday # 1

I have been reading many other bloggers Marvelous Monday posts throughout the past few months and I am finally jumping on board and writing my first one today. I am so excited to tell you all about our weekend and our amazing doctors appointment this morning. Right now I am on cloud nine and it is a wonderful feeling.

Thank you Katie over at Healthy Diva Eats for hosting this uplifting link-up.

I will start with telling you about our fun busy weekend. This weekend was busy from Friday night until the Sunday night. We were literally non-stop. Steve’s birthday is tomorrow, so we had a few celebrations this weekend.

Saturday Evening

It started on Saturday night with dinner at Maggiano’s Little Italy with my family. If you have never been there you must get there soon.

We ordered off the family style menu and let me tell you there was a ton of food and it was all delicious. We started with salad, mozzarella, and peppers and sausage. Then our main course was cheese ravioli, lasagna, francese chicken (which was so moist), and steak medallions. I wish I would have thought to take a picture of the table with all that food on it is was crazy. The nice thing is we got to take all our leftovers home. We have been eating this yummy food for a few days. I am sorry, I really need to get better at remembering to take pictures of my food when we go out dinner. I have finally gotten good at taking pictures of my food at home, but haven’t gotten used to doing it at restaurants yet. But, I promise I will get there soon. 🙂

Sunday Evening

On Sunday evening we went over to Steve’s mom’s house to have a birthday celebration with his side of the family. Steve requested steak, cheesy potatoes, green beans, garlic bread, and strawberries. This is one of his most favorite meals. Everything was truly delicious. And to end all of the yummy food his Nana made one of her “famous” cakes and it was just as fabulous as always. The girls especially enjoyed this part of the party.

Monday Morning

We had one of our weekly ultrasounds this morning. Which I have to tell you we were very nervous about going to this appointment. We simply didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t know if we were going to be told our girls TTTS was regressing or progressing. We just want our girls to be healthy and we can’t wait to hold them in our arms. I know, I know I am rambling you just want me to get to the details of the appointment. It was all GOOD NEWS today. Our little ones amniotic fluid has actually gone up from 2.2 to 3.4 and our bigger ones amniotic fluid has stayed the same at 8.4. This is all great news. Their heartbeats were strong and they simply looked amazing. The specialist actually told us that with our fluid levels at those levels we would barely be labeled in a stage 1. I haven’t felt this happy in awhile. I can’t even begin to tell all of you how I am feeling today. I want to thank all of you for your amazing thoughts and prayers. I truly believe all of the prayers from everyone are going to help our girls get through this difficult time. Thank you for all your love. We have so many wonderful ultrasound pictures from today. Once I get this uploaded onto the computer I will post them.

In the comments below let me know some of the marvelous things that have happened in your life. I can’t wait to hear all the good things that are happening is your lives.

Praise God!! That’s such wonderful news!! And your family is just so beautiful!

As far as good news my way, My sister just gave birth a few weeks ago to a beautiful, healthy baby girl (via In-Vitro) after 10 years of praying, crying and trying. Elizabeth Faith is perfect and beautiful and I am one proud Auntie 🙂

    • Thank you. Life is feeling really good right now. I feel like we are going to be headed in the right direction. 🙂

Renee, thank you for writing your blog….it is inspirational! I’m not much behind you….about 16 1/2 weeks with twin boys that are identical so the TTTS was a concern for us too. At first when they said it usually occurs only about 10 percent of the time we though odds were on our side!! Today we went to see our perinatologist and now she is concerned with the fluid levels and I have to go back for another ultrasound in 5 days. The TTTS is so scary when its out of your control….we will continue to pray and hope that our next visit will bring good news like yours did! It’s so hard not to be a blubbering mess!!

    • Thank you so much. I was really nervous about talking about our struggles, but then I decided I wanted to help other who deal with difficulties during their pregnancies. If I can help people I will be one happy girl. 🙂

Congratulations on your twin boys. I am sorry to hear your fluid levels are concerning. You must be going crazy waiting until you get to see your babies again. Now that we have spoke to specialists know that if something does happen there are wonderful people out there who can help you. I know this is a scary time. I will keep you in my prayers. I am worrying right there with you. 🙂 Please keep me updated with how everything is going.
