Happy Friday everyone. I am sorry I didn’t post yesterday, I had all the intentions in the world to do so, but I started to feel mastitis coming on. Luckily, it was simply the beginning of it and I was able to stop it before it got worse. I truly didn’t feel like doing much yesterday. McKenzie and McKayla didn’t sleep well on Wednesday, so that didn’t help either. Everyone is doing much better today. I hope all of you have had a wonderful week.
Here is the latest picture of McKenzie and McKayla. They are getting so big.
Since, it is Fridayย I am going to link-up with Melissa over at Fit ‘n’ย Well Mommy.
Favorite Moment
Going on Sophia’s first field trip with her was defiantly the highlight of my week. It was so much fun to have one on one time with my Sophia; we don’t get it very often. I loved watching her interact with the other children in her class. I loved hearing the teachers tell me she is the sweetest little girl. It was a fabulous day.
Favorite Meal
Since, I have been obsessed with pumpkin anything lately my favorite meal this week had to be pumpkin pancakes. However, I loved our chicken pot pie from my neighbor. It seriously was delicious. I couldn’t get enough. I have never made a chicken pot pie before I think I need to try soon.
Favorite Workout
My workouts have been few and far between this week. However, I did get in three at home workouts so at least that is something. One thing I have learned, once I became a mom, is do the best you can, perfection is not an option.
My favorite at home workout I did this week was the 10 Pound Slimdown Xtreme – Total Body Circuit. This was a great 40 minute workout. It was quick yet effective. I did this workout yesterday morning and already felt sore last night and this morning. I love that this workout combines cardio and resistance training.

What are some of your favorites from this week?
- When your workouts don’t go as planned do you get upset or simply realize you can only do so much?
They are actually starting to look identical now! ๐ And I hope to never get mastitis. It sounds horrendous. We didn’t sleep last night – it was rough!
Everyday I feel like they look more and more alike. Mastitis is the worst. ๐
I am sorry you had a rough night; lack of sleep is so difficult.
The twins are getting so big! Still super cute! Fun you got to go on Sophia’s field trip! I’m sure she loved that!
I look at them and can’t believe they were preemies. It was nice being just the two of us. ๐
Sweet girls! Glad you all are doing well, and honestly, I’m super impressed that you have been able to get a few workouts in! Great job, Momma! I am still only walking for exercise. Every time I try to do an at home work out either one twin is awake and needing something or I have to clean the house, dishes, laundry, etc. I need to get back though w/weights though as I do miss it so much! Glad you didn’t end up getting mastitis, that is my absolute fear!!!!
Thank you!! Workouts are my sanity. I always feel like I am such a better mom; I usually put off my house stuff to workout. ๐ My at home workouts are typically interrupted, however now that the babies are taking more consistent naps I am able to get them in easier!! You will figure out your routine.
Mastitis is the worst, but as long as you catch it early enough you will be fine.
I’m very impressed with your workouts! I, who do not have new twins to take care of, have been slacking (read: zero) with working out.
My mom went on a lot of my field trips when I was younger as a parent chaperone and it was so great having her there. I’m sure your daughter feels the same way ๐
Great picks for food. That pot pie sounded amazing! And you can never go wrong with pumpkin.
I need my workouts, otherwise I will go crazy!! That is always my advice for new moms, don’t forget about yourself. ๐
Ahh… I hope you are right, I really want my daughters to be able to look back and remember all the wonderful times we had together.
