Every year on December 23rd we have dinner at PF Changs with Mimi, Papa, Auntie Ade, Uncle Scotty, Gigi, Uncle Fran, and Aunt Sarah (The last two don’t always make it home to join us, but we were blessed to have them with us this year.). We started this tradition over 10 years ago as a family of 5 and now we sit at a table of 13 and we are still growing. Oh my!! This night began as a calm before the storm, a way for our family to enjoy each other before the craziness of Christmas and it is the best. We all look forward to this evening and love it.
We arrived at the mall a little early so we could buy one last gift. And boy do these two make shopping even more fun; they are just so silly and such good shoppers.
I asked McKayla to open up her eyes and this is what she did…
McKayla is a character and the girl of many faces.
Each year it gets a little easier and easier. In the years past at one point in our dinner at least one of our girls had to be walked up and down the mall. This year we were all able to sit and enjoy ourselves. Our girls are growing up so fast and I’m not so sure I’m ready for it. I kind of miss eating dinner with a baby on my lap.
Of course all of our girls wanted Mimi at the start of dinner and slowly made their rounds with their aunties, uncles, and then their Mama. My girls make everything more fun entertaining. Life is never boring when these four are around.
Doesn’t Aunt Sarah look beautiful? Can you believe she is 6 months pregnant? Oh my!! We can’t wait to meet our new little niece/cousin.
