Over the last month or so I have been slacking a little on my eating. I never go way overboard, but I definitely felt it was time to reign it back in and I ALWAYS feel so much better when my eating is on par. So, I am following the 21 Day Fix Extreme eating, it’s one of my favorites. This week I also started the 21 Day Fix Extreme workouts for the second round. I forgot how much I love them.
Meal #1
After I finished Pilates Extreme I ate a couple Greek yogurt waffles – 21 Day Fix Style (which simply means less flour, I actally prefer them this way).
Meal #2
After getting home from school drop off and gymnastics I ate four egg whites with sweet potatoes (made in a cast iron skillet with a 1/2 tsp of oil). After my eggs and potatoes, I wanted something sweet so I finished McKenzie’s apple and had a few pieces of a clementine with Isabella. I love eating healthy foods with my girls. I truly feel as though it encourages them to do the same.
Meal #3
A few hours later I was hungry again, so I made a beef taco salad with ground beef (cooked with taco seasoning), lettuce and a couple tablespoons of taco sauce. Easy, simple and delicious.
Meal #4
Meal #5
After getting Sophia off the bus and playing outside (our weather is finally starting to turn around) we made homemade pizzas on mini naan. These are easy to make and my girls love getting to help in the kitchen.
Treat
I ended my day with 1/2 a banana with a tsp of almond butter. A great end of the day “treat”.
When I want to get back on track I STOP grabbing handfuls of my girls snacks throughout the day, they can really add up. I am always careful with my bites, licks and tastes. Seriously, some days I would grab a couple crackers, pretzels, etc. and I didn’t even really want them. When I want to feel better I simply make sure that I am mindfully eating.
