{I’m linking up with Amanda for Thinking Out Loud}
1. Yesterday, was meet the teacher day at Sophia’s school and it was bittersweet for this mama. While Sophia and I walked into school to find her classroom and meet her teacher we were glued and I can’t lie I loved it. I love that I am Sophia security. I love that she counts on me to be there for her in unsure situations. I love that she knows I will always be there for her no matter. Oh, and I loved her teacher. I am so excited for her, but I am also quite sad that she is going to be a 1st grader; these years are going by way too fast.
2. Last night was orientation at Isabella’s preschool and I am just not ready. I know I sound like that crazy mama and actually I guess I am. I am seriously not sure how I am going to get through Thursday, her first day, without her. She is just so sweet and special I truly hope her teachers see what we see. Oh my, I am getting teary eyed just writing about Isabella going to school. After orientation we took her out for ice cream. It was so much fun spending time just the three of us; that never happens.
3. I can’t get over the fact that Sophia is going to be in 1st grade in less then a week and Isabella starts preschool a week from today. I am beyond sad. I’m not ready for Sophia to be in school all everyday once again; I truly miss my girl.
4. Sunday, was a rough night for me. I was very emotional. In general I am an extremely sensitive person, I take everything to heart. Sunday night Sophia was tired, so that meant she was sassy (a different Sophia comes out when she’s tired) and that also meant Mommy was in tears. I just want everyone to be happy and feel loved and at the end of the day on Sunday I felt as though there just wasn’t enough of me to go around. I felt as though I was torn in four different directions and I want to equally be there for all my girls. We have had an AMAZING week, so I am feeling so much better and I am really working on spending quality time with all of my girls.
5. One night as I am tucking Isabella into bed, I remind her to sleep closer to the wall so she doesn’t fall out. She responds: Mommy I like falling out of bed, there is a comfy pillow to fall on. Oh my Isabella, I just love her so much.
6. Our days at the pool are going to come to an end in no time and I am one sad mama. All of my girls just love swimming and we have truly had a blast all summer long. The other day spent the afternoon with Mimi at the pool and had so much fun. I can’t believe how much McKenzie and McKayla have changed over the summer, at the beginning of the year they would barely put their feet in, now they are jumping in like you wouldn’t believe it. (I have a video I will try to upload that to youtube this weekend.)
7. In case you missed it, I posted a new recipe this morning and these pancakes are amazing and healthy.
8. This quote made me laugh and it’s so true.
