MIMM # 18 – Family Time

Happy Monday everyone. I hope all of you had a marvelous weekend; I can’t wait to hear all about it in the comments.

MiMM

Thank you Katie for hosting. I love focusing on the marvelous things in everyone’s lives!!

Marvelous is our first car ride with all six of us. Oh my!!

Car Ride - First One with 6

We have one crowded van now. I still can’t believe I drive a mini-van. You can read all about that purchase here. The crazy thing is we decided to lease our van before we even knew we were going to have twins. We simply knew even with three kids, all in car seats, an SVU would be tight. I also came to the realization (after having our van) that the automatic sliding doors are amazing. I will tell you it is so nice pushing the button and the doors pop open; my two older girls can climb in. However, now that they are in the way back I have to climb in to buckle their seats. It is a lot of work to leave the house with four kids. I seriously feel as though I may never be able to go anywhere by myself with all four kids. But then I stop, takeΒ a breath and realize this is only going to be like this for a little awhile. I will figure it all out. Even leaving by myself with the girls. πŸ™‚

All-in-all it was a wonderful adventure. We all went to a friends first birthday party. It was a fun day!!

Marvelous is our first walk to the playground as a family of six!!

Marvelous is our first trip to the swimming pool as a family this summer.

I am sorry no pictures of this one. πŸ™ But it was so much fun. Sophia is becoming a wonderful swimmer. Thanks to all of our Goldfish swim classes. With how much we pay she should be an Olympian by now!! This was one activity we thought was worth the money. Water safety is so important. And it sure is paying off.

In the Comments Below:

  1. I can already see me needing a mini van in my future and it makes me want to cry big fat tears. πŸ˜‰ Our SUV already seems small with two infant carriers in it!!!

    • Oh my I know what you mean. I was the girl that always said I would never drive a mini van, but I had no choice. πŸ™‚ And it’s truly not too bad. But every time I am driving it I always think to myself I love my car but it’s a mini van. My rule was I would only lease it so I know there is an end. Haha!!

  2. What a wonderfully marvelous weekend! Love all the activities you did with all four girls in tow! The twins are already looking so much bigger! Adorable of course πŸ™‚

    • Thank you. I can’t believe how busy we were with four kids, but it was so much fun. I can’t believe how big they are getting already. I am going to miss this baby stage.

I love your blog and seeing the progress with your twin girls and the fun things you so as a family. I have a 3 year old boy and am 24 weeks pregnant with twin boys. I can’t wait for them to be here. In the meantime I try to do whatever I can with my husband and son as my energy is limited. This weekend the three of us went to see Planes and it was a cute movie. Also, I have used a few of your recipes and they are wonderful. Mostly the high protein ones to keep my babies growing:) you are a great inspiration and I am hoping we adjust as well as you have.

    • Thank you. Congratulations on your pregnancy. It is such a exciting journey. πŸ™‚ It is wonderful that you are spending lots of time with your hubby and son; once the babies come it’s nuts.

Oh I am so glad the movie was cute. We are going to take Sophia and Isabella this weekend. I can’t wait to spend some time with them.

I am so happy you like my recipes. I love eating healthy, but it has to taste good too!!

I am sure you will adjust perfectly. πŸ™‚
