First, I want to thank all of you for all the wonderful messages and comments. I am so blessed too have all of you praying and thinking of me. The support is wonderful. Reading all your kind words has really helped get me through this tough time.
Our girls are still in twin-to-twin transfusion (TTTS) stage 1, which is a good thing. The specialists we spoke with on Friday said that he doesn’t do the surgery unless we are in stage 2 of TTTS. The risks of the surgery are too great to perform this any earlier than stage 2. Hearing the risks of this procedure was very scary, but if we progress to stage 2 the benefits out way the risks. He also told us that 30 percent of stage 1 TTTS don’t progress. We will pray we stay in stage 1 for the remainder of the pregnancy.
We were very relieved to hear all this information. But, I do have to say we are still very nervous about the many risks of this syndrome and we are defiantly not out of the woods yet. There is a 50-60 percent chance we will be coming back to CHOP for this procedure in the nest few weeks. Throughout the remainder of the pregnancy we will be having weekly ultrasounds to keep our girls closely monitored. We don’t want this to progress past stage 2, if we can help it. If we make it to 24-26 weeks TTTS most likely won’t progress.
Thank you for all your prayers God has heard them and hopefully we will continue to hear good news.
Another piece of good news is that we will be home tomorrow. I can’t wait to see my girls. I need lots of hugs and kisses from my sweet, sweet babies.
I think they are going to be sad to see us so soon. I know they are having a blast with Mimi and Papa. Mom and Dad are so boring. Haha 🙂
I will post some amazing ultrasound pictures on Monday from yesterdays appointments. Our baby girls are so sweet and I can’t imagine my life without them.
So glad that you all have some good news! Praise God! Will continue to pray!!
Glad to hear things are going well! God is truly amazing!! Hoping & praying that things will stay that way! 🙂 <3
That is great news Renee! So glad to hear you are all doing okay. Praying you stay in stage 1 🙂

I saw your comment on my blog and clicked over to yours. I am so glad that your TTTS seems stable and that your doctors seem very proactive and educated. I am not sure if you are already a part of any TTTS support groups but I am the admin of a facebook group that you might be interested in joining… http://www.facebook.com/groups/203496653079054/
Please feel free to message me anytime…I would love to offer you whatever support I can.
