A Weekend in Denver – Maizy’s Baptism

Wow, what a wonderful weekend we had in Denver, but I sure missed my girls and of course hubby too.

It all began right after getting Sophia and Isabella from school. We headed to the airport at 5ish and landed in Denver at 9pm (Denver time). By the time we arrived at our place we were exhausted and called it a night. Nothing too exciting.

Saturday was Maizy’s big day. So, we woke up got ready, while Papa got us all some much needed coffee. We then headed over to Fran and Sarah’s house for breakfast. Shortly, after finishing breakfast we walked to church for Baby Maizy’s baptism and it couldn’t have been any better. Okay. maybe it could have been a little cooler. I must say the church was HOT. But, besides that Maizy was just as sweet and precious as always. She practical slept through the entire thing.

We ended Saturday with some wine and painting. I must say I was extremely nervous (nervous doesn’t even do it justice, but we will stick with that). So, I may be little but of a perfectionist and this painting thing scared me. Looking back at my picture and thinking of the evening it was a lot of fun and I am glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. The atmosphere, the teacher, everything it was so a great evening with wonderful people. I can’t wait to try it again soon.

Saying good-bye is never easy. It is difficult living far from people you love. It is not easy watching Baby Maizy grow up hundreds of miles away. Luckily, we already have plans to see all of them in a few weeks and I just can’t wait to have the cousins together again.

As difficult as it was for me to be away from my girls and hubby I love how refreshed I feel after a couple days to myself. Seriously, I feel like I can conquer and mommy moment that comes my way. As most moms know you feel excited about getting away, but once you are there all you want to do is hold your babies and that is me 100%.  Motherhood is truly a rollercoaster of feelings.

Oh, Monday I do not like you. Getting back into the swing of things was not easy. Waking up, making breakfast, and getting everyone out the door; not easy I tell you. I can’t believe this is the last week of school. Seriously?! Where did the time go?! How are Sophia and Isabella going to be in kindergarten and second grade? Stop, no really I am ready to stop time right here, right now. Okay, maybe let’s get through these next couple days first, but once summer is here everything can freeze for a little bit.

you will never have this day again

*I’m sorry for any grammatical errors in this post, but I am exhausted and have a headache so I will proofread it more tomorrow. Please forgive me.
