13 Weeks Pregnant with Twins
These self portraits are so much easier, than waiting for Steve to take it. 🙂
Babies are the size of a peach. The babies are about three inches long. At this stage the babies heads are about half the size of them. By the time they are born their heads will only take up about a 1/4 of their bodies. Starting at this phase in the development process babies begin to grow at their own pace. This week our babies vocal cords are beginning to form.
I couldn’t find a 13 week picture of twins in utero. So, just imagine I have there are two of these little babies in my belly. 🙂 Every time I look at this picture I truly cannot believe there are two babies in there. It is crazy.
How far along? 13 weeks
Maternity Clothes? I am still not really wearing maternity pants. They are more comfortable, but still quite baggy. However, I have simply been sticking to leggings lately. 🙂
Weight Gain? I am not sure. I don’t weight myself at home. But I have an appointment on Monday so I will find out then.
Workouts? None, this week. I still haven’t been feeling that great and Isabella has been sick again. :/ The doctor still hasn’t really given me the go ahead. I am going to talk to her about it on Monday.
Symptoms? Exhaustion and still a little mild sickness. It is getting better but not gone yet. Hopefully, soon. Crying at everything and anything. Seriously, I cry whenever we watch the Tinkerbell movie, Secret of the Wings. It is such a cute movie about sisters and it has me in tears. 🙂
Stretch Marks? None yet. Let’s pray it stays that way. I am not counting on it though. :/
Sleep? This past week I have slept much better. I have been truly exhausted and have been sleeping through the night for the most part.
Movement? Not yet, but hopefully soon. 🙂
Genders? We will be finding out at 18 weeks. I can’t wait. We don’t talk names until we know the gender so I am so excited to start throwing around some names.
What I miss: Still pretty much the same from last week.  Intense exercise. Wanting to eat. Wanting to cook. Not being exhausted all the time. I am seriously ready to feel good again.
Food cravings? Not much. At this point I am just trying to make sure I eat enough. I have really not been that hungry.
Food aversions? Still chicken. When I was pregnant with Sophia I couldn’t eat chicken the entire time and with Isabella I started to eat it towards the end. I don’t know what is with me and chicken. I am really hoping I am able to eat chicken soon. I miss my chicken and veggies. 🙂
Labor signs? None, lets keep it that way for several months. Please.
Belly button in or out? In.
What I am looking forward to this week? A relaxing weekend. We had such a busy weekend last weekend. I am looking forward to not doing much this weekend. I think we all need a weekend to chill at home. 🙂 I am also looking forward to my appointment with my doctor. I love going and hearing the heartbeats and making sure everything is going well.
Milestones? Officially in the 2nd trimester. Some experts say 12 weeks, some say 13 weeks, and some say 14 weeks. So, I am going to say 13 weeks, right in the middle. 🙂
Things I Wish People Knew:Â How much I love being pregnant. I truly love this and I am so sad that this is going to be my last. I am really trying to enjoy every moment. It is so bitter sweet.
I never thought about how 2 or more kids fit in there! Haha. I’ll have to Google it!
Haha. Me neither, I am still not sure. 🙂
Congrats! I love being pregnant too and can’t wait for when we start trying for baby #2!
Thank you. I can’t imagine never being pregnant again. I am excited for you to start trying for #2. 🙂
