WIAW # 126 – Marcos and the Zoo

Today we spent the morning at the zoo for with Isabella’s class for her field trip. Of course, we brought Mimi along and had a blast. It was almost perfect, we just missed our Sophia. I can’t wait to take everyone back. The new penguin exhibit is just amazing. We loved it!!

Sticking to my macros was surprisingly easy.

I started my day with a blogilates leg workout. Yes, I have decided to switch back to Pop Pilates for awhile and I am loving it. I love changing it up every now and then. I know my body appreciates it too.

Breakfast consisted of egg whites and a baked sweet potato (I cooked up several the other day and it made it so much easier).

Before heading out to the zoo I had a bowl of strawberries and grapes.

Lunch at the zoo was half a peanut butter and jelly. I haven’t had one in awhile and it really hit the spot.

Once, we got home I was hungry again so I decided to enjoy one of my favorites, a taco salad with lettuce, ground beef (cooked in taco seasoning), and a teaspoon of sauce. I paired that with an apple.

I have been loving hamburgers lately and they are just so easy to make. I cooked one up in the griddle, it was ready in minutes, and delicious. Just what I needed at the end of this busy day.

Before taking the girls up to bed I realized I hadn’t eaten very much today (calorie wise), so I decided to treat myself to an oldie, but a goodie, my paleo individual chocolate cake with a 1/2 cup of ice cream. And guess what? It all fit into my macros. Perfect!

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”

Planning is what saves me on these busy days. You don’t need to over think it.
