This past week I took a break from all formal exercise, but it sure didn’t lack in the activity department. Even without working out I still averaged 13,000 steps a day. During this week break I realized I haven’t electively taken a break since after I had McKenzie and McKayla (and really that was ordered by my OBGYN). Wow!! I am not going to lie I do love my workouts and I was more then ready to start up on Saturday, but the rest week was great. I got more sleep the usual and my body was more then ready to get back at it.

Saturday was my official day back at it and I started off with a bang; running. I haven’t ran since I got pregnant with McKenzie and McKayla; in over 3 years and boy are my legs hurting (I love the soreness). I then took Sunday off and started another round of the 21 Day Fix Extreme program. I forgot how much I loved these workouts!!

As far as meals go. Last week I stuck to the 21 Day Fix plan for the most part. I definitely wasn’t as strict as usual and it actually felt kind of good, ok really good. It felt amazing not to think or worry about every single thing that went into my mouth.  But, with that said I am back on the 21 Day Fix Extreme diet plan and I am loving it. I do love a break every now and then, but I also love my routine. I love my healthy eating and I love knowing what I put into my body is healthy and good for me.
