Carving Pumpkins 2016

I have been meaning to write all week long, but some how the time just kept getting away from me. This week was just one thing after another, but all fun stuff with my girls.

We started our week off with pumpkin carving Sunday afternoon and the girls had a great time. This mama loved it too, except I was a little stressed and tired so I definitely didn’t enjoy it like I should have. This was a mom fail on my part. Usually, I try to always look for the good in everyday life (even when life gets out of control) and Sunday was not one of those days, all I could do was focus on my mile long to-do list. Hey we are all human. But, I made sure not to let that ruin the rest of my day/week.

Carving pumpkins is actually one of my favorite things about fall. I love being creative, but I must admit I am not a big fan of all the pumpkin “guts”, as Sophia calls it.

Anyone that knows Sophia knows she HATES to be dirty, so pumpkin carving was definitely not easy for her, but she tried. She literally washed her hands every couple of minutes. Oh my!!

Of course, not one of our girls choose a halloween themed pumpkin, but if I do say so myself I think they turned out well. We loved them.

Looking back at previous years, these were actually the easiest ones yet. Good thing, since I had four of them to carve. Sophia tried, but quit instantly and wanted Mom to take over.

You can check out past pumpkins here, here, and here.
