I am so excited to share more about our vacation with you. After spending a few days in Denver we headed up to Vail. Our shuttle ride was not the best, but we made it and wow, Vail is absolutely beautiful.
Sophia took her first gondola ride with Daddy and loved every minute of it. According to Daddy she never stopped talking; that’s my girl. 🙂 One thing she said on their way up was that she couldn’t wait to show Isabella. There is nothing like the love of a sister.
After Sophia took her first ride we all had to join.
Once we arrived at the top of the mountain the girls had a blast. Well, it all started off perfectly, but ended not so great. Mommy put Sophia in the wrong shoes (opened toed). How was I supposed to know? I didn’t even know we were doing activities that day. Anyway, we got it all shorted out and decided to go up the next day to do the ropes course, zip line, trampoline, and more. The girls had the time of their lives.
The first day the girls were able to complete one round on the ropes course and we were so proud. Sophia was a pro; she raced through it. Poor Isabella had a rough time. She made it a couple steps then lost her balance and began to cry (of course I was just about crying with her, but I kept it hidden). I wanted so badly to jump over the ropes and hold her. Our little girl kept going she completed half of it then decided that was enough. I can’t tell you how proud we are of our little Isabella.
Vail is beautiful this time of year and I’m sure it is just as beautiful in the winter as well. It truly was a great place to take our girls on vacation and I hope to go back some day. My girls loved everything about it. Sophia has already talked about riding her bike through the mountain; my girl loves her adventures. Oh and she also wants skis; yet she has never skied before. Ha!!
{Today I’m linking up with Katie for Marvelous in My Monday}
Sounds like a fantastic time in Vail. Bless little Isabella’s heart. She’s a champ for making it half way across though. What a girl!
Skies? Oh man! Sophia sounds a bit more adventure than even myself. Hah.
