Wow! I can’t believe this is my 100th Marvelous in My Monday post. It’s crazy to think I have been blogging for as long as I have. When I started Fit For Motherhood I didn’t have a clue what I was doing and quite honestly I still don’t. Haha!! I simply love connecting with all of you and sharing the ups and downs of motherhood. I love sharing my health and fitness journey with you, which is not perfect, but it’s all me. I am still a work in progress.
Since, it’s Monday I am linking up with Katie for Marvelous in My Monday.
I am finally feeling more like myself and that is amazing. For the first time in two weeks I woke up early and did a few Blogilates videos, it felt perfect. I don’t want to push it too soon so I am holding off on cardio for a few more days (I am really trying to listen to my body and do what’s best).
We had a great weekend. It all began with manis and pedis on Saturday with Mimi, Auntie Ade, Sophia and Isabella.
Isabella loved watching the color of the water change. She was absolutely adorable. Sophia was beyond a big girl. I can’t believe what a pro she is becoming at getting her nails and toes done. It is so sweet and yet so scary.
Once we arrived home from our wonderful afternoon we spent some time playing outside and of course we ended up at the playground. Our evening consisted of ordering take-out (such a nice treat) and relaxing. We ordered from a favorite restaurant of ours, Kruse and Muer (there’s one right across the street from our house). We shared a chicken tortellini ala crème and some bread. It was delicious. Sorry I didn’t take a picture (sometimes things are a little crazy in our house and I just forget to snap a photo).
Sunday was simply a day of rest and relaxation. After having a nice family breakfast Sophia, Isabella and myself went to Costco (I planned on going by myself, but when I told my girls I was going shopping they wanted to join me and I couldn’t say no. Besides, I love my shopping buddies.) I really do love shopping with my girls and spending time just us big girls. Since they are such good girls I can’t seriously take them anywhere. Sophia and Isabella make me one proud Mama.
Sophia did not want her picture taken (she is in a stage right now that it’s not cool to have me take her picture in public). So, I decided to take one of Isabella; she had to wear a hat, just like her mommy (I wore a hat on Sunday simply because I needed a shower. Haha!! and I got my shower this morning.)
Once, we got home the girls played outside for hours with friends in our neighborhood (I love our neighborhood; we have such wonderful neighbors). We joined them after McKenzie and McKayla woke up from their naps. It was a beautiful spring day here and we couldn’t get enough of the sunshine.
Our weekend ended with a great dinner of grilled steak and red skin potatoes. Yes, our meal lacked a veggie, but hey I was exhausted and quite frankly I’m not perfect and I’m okay with that. 😉
In the Comments Below:
- Tell me all about what is marvelous in your life.
- What did you do this weekend?
I’m curious, is that a Hello Kitty spa or a place that just happens to have a hello kitty? We have a few Hello Kitty spas here in Kuwait, and I was just telling a friend how excited I am to take the girls to it.. obviously not for another few years though. Hah!
I cannot believe how big McKayla & McKenzie have gotten since I first started reading your blog. Time goes by too quickly.
This is a nail salon that has just a couple of Hello Kitty chairs. My girls love it!! It’s their favorite place to go. You will love your girl outings, once they are a little older. Seriously, I love spending time with my girls.
I know they have grown up way too fast. Sometimes I want to cry. 🙂
