Hi everyone. I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Our weekend was rather interesting, but wonderful in it’s own way. I actually woke up Saturday morning with the stomach bug. Yes, it was not fun, but it made me realize how much my body really needed a break from working out to the everyday tasks. Saturday, I really didn’t do much; I was down for the count. I had the chills, aches, and lots of stomach pains. Not fun!!
Thank you Katie for hosting.
Marvelous is…
my family taking care me. As miserable as I was on Saturday I was able to snuggle with my girls, do absolutely nothing, and take a nap all day without feeling guilty. I was feeling awful and knew there was nothing I could do. On Sunday, I was feeling a little bit better and of course, since I was feeling better I wanted to start doing more, but my wonderful hubby put a stop to that. I tried to tell him I didn’t need to nap and he told me that they needed me to take care of myself. He told me they needed Mommy back. So, you know what I took another 2 hour nap. I seriously can’t remember the last time I slept this much in a weekend. I am feeling much better today and am ready to get back into my workout routine tomorrow morning.
my amazing neighbors. Last night Isabella was up late sick. She was throwing up and not feeling well. This morning, I didn’t want to take her out in the cold to go to the bus stop. So, I texted my neighbor and she so graciously took Sophia to the bus stop with her boys. I seriously, can’t ask for better friends and neighbors. It truly takes a village to raise a child and we have the best village around us.
my mom. With no questions asked she told me she was coming over to help with whatever I needed. She willingly put herself right in the middle of the sick house. Mimi would do anything for us. She came over to take Sophia to gymnastics and it was just what we all needed.
putting my four girls to bed ALL BY MYSELF. I know it sounds silly, but for some reason I feel so accomplished putting them to sleep all alone. Last Wednesday Steve had a work dinner so I was on my own (yes, Mimi offered to help, but I told her I would be okay). I must say it was a success and I fell great. I had all four girls in bed and asleep by 7:30pm. Whoo hoo.
Sophia’s idea of mismatch day. I tried to talk her into something a little more extreme, but she wouldn’t go for it. She told me this outfit didn’t match because there was no brown in her dress. Oh my!!

You’ve got yourself one awesome support group. Glad you’ve started feeling better. Don’t feel like you need to rush back into the routine today. Maybe another day is just what your body needs.
BTW: Sophia’s idea of mismatch day is too cute. What a little fashionista!
Thank you. I am truly blessed to have so many people in my life that love me. You are too sweet.
