MIMM # 58 – Isabella’s Birthday, Father’s Day & Dance Recital

Good evening everyone. We a great weekend filled with lots fun. Since, it is Monday I thought I would tell you all about it while linking up with Marvelous in My Monday. I love this link-up because it focuses on all the wonderful things in our lives and that is what I try to do every day.

Saturday was my sweet Isabella’s 3rd birthday.

I can’t believe my baby is already three; it has gone by way too fast. I can’t even begin to tell you how special she is to me. We have this bond like no other. She is a Mama’s girl through and through. I seriously, don’t know what I would do without her. She is the sweetest little girl you will ever meet. I made sure to make her day special. When she woke up I had her door decorated, gifts wrapped and set out, and the house all decked out in Minnie Mouse (per her request).

I also made sure to buy her a birthday girl headband. I wanted to make sure she knew it was her special day, even though we had to concentrate on Sophia in the morning.

Watching Isabella throughout the day was so wonderful. She was so happy and I love to see my girls happy. In the next few days I am going to write my birthday letter to her.

Birthdays are so special to me. They are the days my sweet little girls came into my life and I couldn’t be more blessed. Their birthdays remind me of the best days of my life. My girls are my everything.

Saturday was also Sophia’s dance recital and I couldn’t be more proud of my girl. First of all she stayed in the dressing room with no crying and fighting (which is complete opposite of how she has been lately). After her dance she came and sat with us to watch some of the show but wanted to go back to the dressing room. She is becoming such a big girl. My little girl is growing up. She told me that she loves being on stage. She loves everything about the dance recital. She said she can’t wait to be in one again. She is such a diva.

Happy Father’s Day to all the marvelous Daddy’s; I hope you had a marvelous day. We definitely made Daddy feel special. I must say what a different a year makes. Last year Steve was a dad to two little girls, this year he has four. He has really shown me what an amazing dad he is. Of course, I already knew that, but gosh this year he has really shined. With Sophia and Isabella he didn’t need to get up in the middle of the night, he didn’t need to help with bath time, dinner, etc. But once McKenzie and McKayla came along it was a whole new world. No more sleep for Daddy. I couldn’t imagine a better man to be my husband, friend, and father to my daughters. He is kind, caring, loving, selfless, smart, hard working, the list could go on and on. I can’t even begin to tell you how blessed we are to have him in our lives. We are on this amazing journey together and I am so proud of him. Thank you for all your do for us. We love you very much.

Our father’s day didn’t really begin how Steve would have liked, but I begged and pleaded and begged some more. 🙂 No he happily went along with what I wanted. We got our family pictures taken bright and early Sunday morning. Our June is such a crazy month there really wasn’t a better weekend to get them taken. So, we got all the girls out the door by 7:45am and to the park to meet our wonderful photographer. I seriously can’t even tell you how amazing she was with our girls. If you live in southeast Michigan I would highly recommend Lulu and Lula Photography. She gave us a sneak peek on Facebook.

After the pictures we let the girls play a little bit at the park and then headed home for nap time and lunch. On our way home we got Starbucks; I knew Steve needed some yummy coffee and a treat (the cake pops are marvelous we all needed one). We had a nice and relaxing day. Steve ended up taking a nap and a nice bath. My goal for him was rest and relaxation. He works so hard for us day in and day out I wanted him to have a relaxing day. I had to work a little harder, but it was well worth it. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see our dads, but with our crazy our life is right now it simply wasn’t possible. Both Steve and I wished it could have been different, but our life is simply all over the place. Next year will be a different story.

Before, I end my post I just want to take a minute and thank my dad for always being there for me. I don’t know what I would do with him. He is the best dad a girl could as for. He would so anything for all of his children and grandchildren. I am so blessed to have him in our lives and I know my daughters couldn’t be luckier to have him as their papa. He will always take care of his family no matter what and he has taught me that family comes first. Thank you Dad for everything you do for us. Steve, me, and the girls couldn’t be happier to have you in our lives. You are an amazing father, grandfather, husband, and friend. We love you very much.
