Hi everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful week thus far. We have finally had a “normal” week. With the holidays and snow days our schedule has been all over the place.
Since it is Wednesday it’s time to talk about food. Over at Peas and Crayons Jenn hosts What I Ate Wednesday and I love participating it in. I loving taking a look at what I have been eating. Lately, I have been starving all of the time. Ever since I started the 30 day HIIT challenge I am hungry all day long, therefore, I am really trying to eat healthy food more often throughout my day. I never want to get to the point of starvation and grab an unhealthy snack. I have been waking up early and working hard so I don’t want to mess with my hard work.
Meal #1 – 7:30
I woke up at 5:30 to feed McKayla then went downstairs to workout. Yesterday, I completed day #12; it was a tough one. I finished my hour long workout right as the girls were waking up, so I quickly grabbed a banana to hold me over till breakfast.
I knew I needed protein after my intense workout so we made Pumpkin Protein Pancakes. They were delicious and have 30 grams of protein.
Meal #2 – 10:00
Half a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a flatbread. A favorite lately.
I also had some peanuts and M & M’s.
Meal #3 – 12:00
Turkey and cheese wrap
Meal #4 – 3:00
Of course, I was hungry once again. We had some leftover Greek Yogurt Waffle mix in the fridge so I decided to have a waffle with a bowl of fruit.
Meal #5 – 6:00
I really wanted to make a nice dinner for Steve and me. So, when I was at the grocery store on Monday I picked us up a couple of steaks. I wanted to make a salad, but it just didn’t happen, both McKenzie and McKayla were screaming. It was a rough afternoon.
Dessert – 7:30
After the girls went to bed I made one of my single serve chocolate cakes. It always hits the spot.
