WHAT-I-ATE-WEDNESDAY-NEW-BUTTON-PEAS-AND-CRAYONS (2)

Today was a great day of eating. I ate healthy, but delicious food. The best part is I ate what I wanted when I wanted, not what I thought I HAD to, to be healthy. Macro counting is amazing, eat what you want, in moderation, make it fit your numbers and you are good to go. Life is about so much more than restricting food.

Meal # 1

After finishing a Pop Pilates booty day I ate banana bread protein pancakes. They were delicious and filling. Seriously, these pancakes fill me up for hours.

Meal # 2

After getting home from gymnastics I seasoned and grilled some chicken breasts (8 ounces to be exact; that’s a lot of protein) to make a BBQ chicken salad and it was delicious. I added some bacon, light mozzarella (Trader Joe’s) and topped it with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce. It hit the spot and again kept my full for hours. I will definitely be making this again soon. I eat at least one salad a day.

Snack # 1

A few hours later I was in the mood for something sweet so I ate a bowl of strawberries and grapes.

Meal # 3

Once we got home from the pool, I ate some edamame while cooking my hamburger and vegetable nest (Trader Joe’s). I forgot how much I liked edamame, these are going to have to become a regular in my every day food.

Snack # 2

To end my night I ate a banana with a teaspoon of almond butter.
