WIAW # 93 + Nutrition Goals for 2015

Since, it’s New Year’s Eve this is going to be short and sweet. We are heading out to my parents for the night. This tradition started last year and we loved it. We spend New Years Eve with my parents, brother and his fiancé, my sister and hopefully her husband can join us after work. We all spend the night; it’s so much simply hanging out with everyone.

Breakfast

After finishing my workout I got dressed, then my girls woke up, got dressed and we had breakfast. I had one Greek yogurt waffle with one pumpkin pancake. I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I ate a little of both (this happens often).

Snack

I took all four girls to play at mall (we needed an outing). We went from 8:15-10:15, so before the mall even opens, it was just us. Perfect!! I love watching my girls’ faces light up. They had so much fun and so did Mommy. Once we got home I made a peanut butter protein shake and snacked on a few bites of white chocolate candy mix.

Lunch

Today’s lunch was yummy. I had leftovers from Monday night’s dinner and it was delicious. I made a new recipe and it was AMAZING.

Snack

I haven’t really been in the mood for salads lately, but Isabella loves them so I made one for her and had one myself. That’s one thing I am going to work on in the new year, eat more produce (I have been lacking lately). I also had a couple turkey meatballs.

Dinner

I had a sweet potato with half a grilled cheese sandwich (Steve wasn’t home so I ate with the girls and we kept it easy).

Dessert

Typically, I don’t have a sweet treat in the evening if I ate one earlier in the day, but today I felt like something sweet so I had a Reese’s Christmas Tree (the shapes are so much better).

Nutrition Goals for 2015:

  • eat more produce (try to have a salad each day)
  • continue to keep eating my fruit (I love fruit and seriously snack on it all day long)
  • make my snacks count (not just pretzels, veggie straws etc.)

Thank you for such a wonderful year. I truly appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you for all your support as I navigate through my adventure of a life.

Enjoy your New Year celebration, whether it’s some wild party or spending a quiet night with your family. Life is what you make it so let’s make it AMAZING!!
