What I Ate Wednesday # 32

What I Ate Wednesday # 32

Good morning everyone…

With all that is going on I did not document everything I ate yesterday, but here are some of highlights.

Meal # 1 – 8:00

I have not been feeling 100% since this past weekend. Therefore, I haven’t been eating very much. As always, I am still trying to get enough protein in throughout the day. The health of our babies is my top priority.

I started the day with a banana and a bowl of Go Lean cereal. (20 grams of protein)

Snack # 1

A couple rice cakes.

My favorite are Trader Joe’s Lightly Salted ones.

Meal # 2 – 12:30

This was a hodgepodge of a meal. I had peanut butter and jelly on the new wraps I found, they are quickly becoming a favorite. (5 grams of protein)

I used half the wrap to make the peanut butter and jelly and the other half to have a turkey and cheese wrap. I know a weird combo, but both of these things sounded good. (25 grams of protein)

Snack # 2 – 3:00

I knew I needed protein, so I made one of my peanut butter protein shakes. It hit the spot on this hot day. (30 grams of protein)

Meal # 3 – 5:30

Since it was golf night for Steve, my mom was with us. These days someone has to be at our house with the girls and me at all times. It is so much harder than people think to be on bed rest. I am already stir crazy and just want my freedom back. But, I will do anything for our twins. One day they will thank me for this, at least I hope.

Sophia requested pancakes for dinner so that is what we ate. I wasn’t starving so I only had a couple. (20 grams of protein)

Yesterday’s meals were quite boring. I have not been into eating or doing much of anything these past few days. However, I still wanted to make sure I was getting enough protein, I want my little babies to continue growing as much as possible. When I am not in a good mood, food doesn’t really sound great to me. I am the type of person that doesn’t eat much when I am feeling a little down and right now this bed rest thing has me feeling blah.

Total Protein: 100 grams

Total Water: 130 ounces

In the Comments Below:

  1. Are you the type of person who eats when you are feeling down or does food not sound so good to you?
  2. Does your mood affect your eating?

Ugh it sent my comment before I’d finished! I was going to say…
Yum those wraps sound really good; I wish low carb wraps were available in the UK!
When I’m down I am always really put off food and don’t want to eat at all..rather than comfort eat I usually end up comfort starving :/

    • They are delicious. I could eat them all day long. 🙂 You might be able to find them online I am not sure though.

I know for sure reason food does not sound appetizing when I am in a funk!

I love how you had both a sweet and savory wrap at lunch – I need something sweet at every meal! 🙂 And pancakes for dinner are the best. I made your pancakes the other day, and they were very tasty but also very thin. How do you make them thicker like the ones pictured?

I hope you get to feeling better soon!! Happy Wednesday!

    • You are right. The peanut butter really took care of my sweet tooth; it hit the spot. I love something sweet with meals too. 🙂

We love pancakes at dinner. The secret to thicker pancakes is to not use all egg whites in the recipe. Use the regular egg version. When I make a double recipe for the girls and me which is what we did the other night I use 3 eggs and no egg whites, That makes them extremely thick. I hope that helps!!
