Marvelous in my Monday # 4

MiMMThank you Katie for hosting Marvelous Monday.

I had a marvelous weekend.

Beginning with Friday night. One of my neighbors hosted a Stella & Dot party. Since, I have been doing very well lately, we decided it would be a great way to feel normal for a couple hours. And let me tell you it was a wonderful girls night. I didn’t really need anything for me, but I bought my girls each an adorable bracelet. I never knew how many different pieces of cute jewelry Stella & Dot had for little girls and it is all very reasonably priced. I will definitely be buying more for my girls as the years go on.

Saturday morning was Sophia’s swim class day. Since, she has just been moved up to junior 2, we all wanted to see what a marvelous swimmer she has become.

We began taking her to Goldfish Swim School in January and in three short months she is already swimming under the water; like a mermaid (as Sophia would say). When she first started going to swim class she wouldn’t even put her face in the water now she jumps in and swims all by herself. It is truly remarkable. I can’t believe we waited so long to put her in lessons at Goldfish. Well, actually I know why we waited, it is definitely not cheap. But well worth it. I could seriously go on and on about how wonderful our experience has been with Goldfish. If you have a facility near you I highly recommend you give them a try, you wont be disappointed; expect when you pay the bill each month. 🙂

Our marvelous Sunday began with church and Sunday school. Then a fun filled girls day (Steve had to go into the office for a few hours). We spent the day with Mimi and went to visit Gigi (Great Grandma).

The most marvelous part of my weekend was listening to Sophia say her prayers on Sunday night.

Dear God,

Thank you God for bringing Daddy home to us. Thank you for having Mimi come with is to Gigi’s house. Thank you for letting me watch my movie one more time before returning it. Thank you for Daddy buying me my movie, so I can watch it all the time. Thank you for this wonderful day.

Love, Sophia

This weekend truly made me feel a little more normal again. That is a marvelous thing. 🙂

    • Yes, it was fun to get away for a little bit. Us moms definitely need it. 🙂

There is truly nothing like listening to little ones pray, they are so sweet and innocent.
